Honda city vario Idsi 2004 advancer

Hi

I have a honda city 2004 automatic.
I have it from last few years, it was running absolutely fine on cng and giving me good fuel consumption. Now the problem is that on cng its not running too well, it doesnt speed up like before and also the rpm's increase while the speed remains slow.
The mechanic asked to buy a new advancer. I am looking for answers that tell me what is the best advancer which i can use with this model.

I think what your mechanic meant was a new CVT transmission. Experts will be able to shed more light on this subject

Try running the car on petrol and then feel if the RPMs increase more with speed constant or not. If it does, then sir i believe the CVT is dying out on you.

Remember, this transmission variant of Honda does not have a torque converter. If the problem persists, its either the belt slipping or the pulleys are not doing the job right.

If it doesnt do the increase rpm thing, then we can proceed with CNG related issues such as tunning or advancer setting/replacement.

hash4u has answered your question. City Vario is not that much fuel economical but yes its economy is better than a standard automatic in 1.3L category. People mostly report mileage between 12-14 for vario within city. The one's driving manual cars experience 13.5 ~16

Its better to find city manual For Economy & Resale. For a relatively trouble free car, I am afraid you will have to raise your budget to around 8:50 to 9.

thanks guys, but i asked specifically about choice between exis 2002/3 and idsi vario (both automatic). I did digged lot of posts on PW forums then asked it. No one has compared IDSI vario vs EXIS (auto). I'd appreciate your 10cents as IDSI manual isnt in my range.
