Honda City on Village Roads

90% of the cars in Pakistani villages are Toyota because they can take the hit of bad roads. But, I have to live with a Honda City in village roads. I drive there once a week and road is pretty bad. I don’t want my cars ‘Injar pinjar’ to be out of place :-). So please give some suggestions regarding proactive maintenance to keep the body, suspension etc in good condition.

I have driven city on bad roads of Islamabad everyday for 2 years and it does not pose too many problems....but I can't say how bad roads of village are...

Just use good tyres, and drive with dead slow speeds on bad and bumpy roads. If you follow these 02 things, I think, you are good to go.

Well... If you are sceptical, then you can always switch to Corolla any time; the variant, which matches your budget and requirements.

Toyota is reliable, and can take severe beatings. Honda is a sort of bit "Mommy Daddy" type; isn't that reliable, rough and tough, and cannot take beating. Its engines are also quite sophisticated.

This is Honda city response on a rough patch in Islamabad...I go through it everyday....see if the roads in village are like that...then it is ok...after 2 years my suspensions were in perfect condition...but I had also changed the tyres as well...

I would request all corolla owners to have a look at it as well...the response seems nearly equal to corolla...or does it...

I have a GLI 2014 model and have taken its proper care. I live here in Karachi, most roads are in bad condition. Roads at my home town are very bad, even it makes difficult for corolla to regularly drive in the area. I drive my car very much slow at bad patches, on such a speed that it should not bounce. My car's suspension is original and is in fine condition.

Bro this is nothing like a village road. The bumps and craters in those roads will make your car fly if you go at this speed. :). This is a good road.

This road is bad, but nothing compared to kachi sarkain of villages. I occasionally drive at 60+KM/H on this road.
