Honda city 2011 lights problem help!

hi, i am new to pakwheels.i m facing problem with new honda city lights as they r very dim compared to 2007 xli i have.and driving at night is nightmare on city:'( .please kindly guide.i have changed it to HID still visibility is very less and i feel yellow lights r better for visibility.please kindly guide how to get enough light for night driving similar to xli corolla.i want light similar to corolla xli.thanks

solved by installation of h4 halogen lamp 90/130w aftr throwing hid:P.now the light is more than enough and now i feel good driving at night.thanks pakwheelers for helping me in solving this out.thanks alot.i hope this thread may help others who r facing same prob!!!!

how much is enough light for driving in faisalabad is it foggy / smogy after sunset try to get after market yellow fog lamps for the bumper flushed installation.

also can you check the wattage of OEM bulbs in the head lamps by removing the bulb what is written 00/00watt written on it - or post its clear readable picture of metallic ring.

Bhai, Corolla ki to anna kar deni wali light hai. Woh City mai nahi mil sakti.
The main reason is that it had two separate reflectors with separate bulbs for low and high beams. Whereas, City has got just one reflector and one tube with two coils for high and low beam.

Secondly, you have installed HIDs in a light which is not designed for HIDs therefore the result is even worse. Yes, the car coming from the opposite side will definitely abuse you but it won't improve your visibility on the road. Either go for some very good quality HIDs which would be kinda expensive, or just switch back to the original bulbs perhaps with higher wattage.

i am planning to switch to original yellow lights with higher power, hope it will help a lot as i went to mechanic today and he suggested to switch to original with 90/100 watt bulb.tell me will it help or which bulbs for city i would use.not planning on fog lights now.

i think hid is 55 watt but now i hate hid as it has almost zero visibility in city and highway as headlight of other cars make it blind

Yes go for original Yellow bulb but with a bit more wattage.

the oem bulbs are osram bilux, their wattage is around 55-60w, i checked with a relative's city, i guess relays and better bulbs along with headlamp adjustment will work. the hid's didnt work because the stock headlamps cannot focus the hids, you need projectors

that round lens like thing in the headlamp is a projector. you can get headlamps that already have them or get them retrofitted into ur existing ones

90/100 is ok but you need to check for the wiring it shall not overheat and deform the bulb holder. Buy a Halogen Bulb 90/100 with Blue Tint of Philips, BOSCH or Schneider may be expensive more then Rs. 200 a piece (in Karachi)

OEM lights with kinda yellow luminence is okay..i had city myself 2o09-same shape...lights were perfectly okay and had great visibility both in low and high beams...put on the OEM bulbs which u had uninstalled,if they are genuine they should be osram and german made and of 90/100 wattage...try KOITO if ur original bulbs aint osram...

who told u to get HIDs? they dont really increase visibility in this crystal element... get NARVA bulbs for ur car... they ll cost 1000rs and will improve the visibility a lot...

didnt knew abt it before, thought as they seem to give more shine.now i will get fix yellow bulbs and projector

Agreed.
Getting HID's in stock projectors will further decrease the visibility.
Either switch to stock bulbs or get some higher wattage bulbs is the same temp.
As far as Corolla is concerned than its light is better due to the presence of 4 bulbs which light up simultaneously on high beam.

Lights of honda city are not that bad. Just switch back to ur oem bulbs and throw away the hids.

test with 4300K HIDs and do not remove any reflector built into the HID tube, it should have 2 one disc infront and one long one below it, without those reflectors you would have terrible lighting. The light will simply scatter everywhere instead of being aimed.

projector lights produce the best light results you can have. The have very positive sharp cutoffs.
