Old CG125s before 91 used to come from Japan which were crate packed, from 91 local assembly start and those were the very first CDI type CG125, the CDI was limited to CGs peak HP rev limiters and racers did not liked it as it used to lock out at certain RPMs, hence the Pointer Models became famous as they had a better top end.

In 1997~1999 the CD125 was marketed as "powerPlus" and they had a unsual fat CDI and a 27mm jet set and few other improvements, that models ar still famous to date and are still expensive then other year models..
from 2000~ and beyond many improvements were seen including change in tail light , position of mudguards, improvements in braking by larger size front drum e.t.c...
2010 and beyond CG125 saw another improvement in its Rokkers , main chamber assembly and few other improvements with an addition of emission controller, the recent most CG125 is very lethal in top speed and stability, thought bike has a OHV engine which has a high tendency of vibrations but its the last thing local users bother about as our roads do not allow any speed above 70~80kmh.

BTW in 2006 the also introduced a "Deluxe" model of CG125 which intially came iwth 4 Gears later 5 gears and emmision controller, that deluxe has different BoreXstrke and many other differences... and was ery comfortable version of standard CG.

around 2014 the introduce CG Dream Version which is in basechasis standard CG125 but has more bauty and plastic for youngster choice.

Bike is a feul guzler and is usual choice of teeagers and people who like grunt power.
hope that helps.
