Sometimes you have to compromise on certain things. You have a primary window on bedroom anyways. So the door will block your secondary opening temporary while door is open. That open area is not acessable by the way which reduce the utility of it as well. In home every feet and square feet is important. You have another option. replaced the location of bath with open area. Same goes on upper level. Otherwise compromise the window by having it where it it currently. You can move bedroom door as well but that would not be a good idea .
Also I am little concerned with the size of he kitchen as well. Kitchen is the most widely used area in a home.I think you will be placing refrigerator in the lobby? With wash basin and cooking range, you are left almost with very little space for counter space as well as storage in kitchen. With door open in the kitchen, maneuverability in the kitchen is also reduced. The open area with the bedroom can be eliminated with the use of closet space and the closet space currently in the bedroom can be merged into kitchen. This will increase the space. As for know that open space is taking some use-able space.
Also a taller window in stair case is possible to bring natural light to the middle of foot print.
