Help.. Too much smelly smoke with drops of black liquid coming out of car exhaust

i have a mehran 2005... when ever i start it.. esp in the morning... the car gives so much smoke, with a distinguished smell.... and some traces of black drops (seems like engine oil mixed with water or sumthing) is cuming out of cars exhuast.... but this smoke finishes soon as the car heats up.. n discontinues when the car is heated n running...

and the major prob which is bothering me is that.. the car is utilizing so much engine oil...

i use a good quality engine oil.. shell helix.. but still the level of enginge oil drops to half afta 2 or three weeks, approx 1000km of running...

can anyone plz help me out by indicationg the prob...

does the engine need overhauling? if so.. wat will be the approx total cost for overhauling a mehran 2005 engine...

U didn't mentioned the color of smoke??nowadays due to extreme cold weather,cold cars DO give white smoke in the morning.IF ring-pistons are gone then car will give smoke all the time.
There might be some other reason for oil drop.check under the car for oil leakage or check radiator for oil drops in it.

get your engine checked most probably it needs an overhaul.

you need get the engine head overhauled. it wont be very expensive, but make sure you go to good knowledgeable mechanic.

I am in no way undermining the company that you have mentioned in ur thread but the fact remains that their oil quality is not upto the mark....atleast for my standards.

where i work we had carried out a survey on 5 landcruisers and 5 cars each with different brand of oil. The one that you use was also used. The cars and jeeps were driven for 2500 km and the samples sent to HDIP. Then the vehicles were driven for another 2500 km making a total of 5000 km. 2nd set of samples were sent to HDIP.

The result was mind blowing....the one that you use was the most inferior in grade.
i would suggest in the first step to change engine oil and go to caltex or PSO....use the car for 2-3 days and then see if the problem persists. If you still see it....then probably you have to overhaul the engine....otherwise it should go away.

@imtishal: the smoke is white and kinda very light bluish, but smelly... and there is no leakage of oil at all from engine as far as i hav noticed....

@desertdevil: sure i'll act on ur advice to change oil brand and see the result... but i personally think its not the oil prob....

As said above your car needs an engine overhaul. May be the rings are gone.

Well this indeed is not the oil problem but rings are gone for sure. You can opt for gettin in the rings only and your prob will be solved insha allah.

yar agar smoke black hai ho sakta hai k carburetor ka mixture bhuhat rich hai n as far as the black droplets as concerned ho sakta hai that over a period of time pipe mein itna carbon jama ho gaya ho keh when waterdroplets form coz bahir thanda hota hai and indar pipe mein gharum so when water droplets form dose carbon ka color mixes with the water n comes out!

please check the oil stick for water and oil mixing. has ur car ever heated up??

man check the rings its a 2005 engine must not be in bad condtion for overhaulin
mine is a 2002 mehran had same problem i did rings only and rest of engine is still virgn and its worth about 5000 almost with every thing!
and use high quality rings cost about 1200

If oil drops are coming out of our exhaust then I think something is wrong with your Engine valves. I had a same problem with my Mehran 98 but this happened for only a day and two then suddenly vanished not sure why but when I went to mechanic he said something is wrong with the engine valves that is why oil is coming out from silencer.

You better go to a good mechanic but something is for sure, it has nothing to do with the Oil Brand!

well the car milage is 65000km... and the car never over heats... running perfect.. it crosses even 120km very easily.... and the smoke is not black... its white n very very light bluish.. but smelly like i said before.... n the car is consuming so much engine oil...

n the black drops which i told... they dun come continuously... when u start the car in cold.. like morging.. water drops fall from the exhuast for few mins... these drops are black in mine case... n when they fall.. u can see tat some sort of black thick fluid is mixing up with water...

wat i have figured out tat rings are gone from all the posts... but im stil worried about this black fluid cuming out of car exaust tat wat is this thing.. :S

Since the smoke is white-blue hence ur mehran's rings are gone.
when u park the car at night the oil in silence gets cool and stick to the inside wall of silencer and when u start ur car in the morning,it comes out in the form of little droplets.
When u decide to replace the rings,also get ur silencer torched or heated up well,this will burn all the oil inside silencer,and will solve the issue of droplets in future.If not done,u still might have black drops coming out from silencer until all the oil inside it will burn,which could take 2-3 months.

Check the cylinder head bolts first for proper tightness.

the black spots can also be carbon deposits dat shud not be a very big issue, but check the oil stick to c if there water in oil. even dat causes smoke at start, this happend resently in my Baleno but there wasnt anything bllack cuming out.

Ring dalwaoo... Ring khatam hogaey hain gaari kay... 99.99999 percent sure...

This is simply just the problem, u drove it on CNG and didnt drive it only a few KM everyday on petrol, Ur Car Engine rings need replacement, i guess they will cost you not more than 800 i think, and 500 for the mechanic to get installed...
