Help Regarding Authority Letter

Salam, i need some help regarding "authority letters" i often drive my uncle's car and police folks have been telling me to get an "authority letter" from the owner of the car. I want to know if there is a prescribed format for it, where can i get it from? thanks

I honestly don't know myself.

Try this, get a stamp paper, get your uncle to verify that you've got permission to drive his car, note the engine number etc.

And staple copy of NIC card with the stamp paper. When you get stopped by police, show license, car documents and if they ask for authority letter, just show the stamp paper

I went to Islamabad airport to pick up my mom once, and the car was my uncles( driver was with me) and i had to make phone calls etc. just to verify it lol

Stamp paper of rs.20 or above stating ur cnic name address etc and the car's details. It should say that Mr. So and so is authorised to drive the so and so vehicle throughout Pakistan. The owner takes all responsibility etc etc.

Get it attested for 20rs by notary public.

Well, it is wise to if the person will drive between cities, eg from Lahore to Islamabad etc.

And even in the city, saves a person from many phone calls, hassle etc

where is notary public's office in lahore? is it easy to get it verified?

If one is driving a company's car, Is it necessary that authorization letter is on a stamp paper or company's letterhead will be enough.
