Haier AC strange problem, not working with remote

My heir AC deluxe series was working fine till two days back but last morning whn i on/off it with remote control it did not responded, but when i press the on button on pannel on AC, it stated working in preset auto mode (whic is fixed) , now no function is operating through remote control like temp setting , air, swing etc, eitehr not on/off by remote control. i havce checked with remote its working fine with other unit so no issue with remote. now wat could be the reason ?? Plz help required if someone has faced the same issue.

Check the remote itself, if you have a relatively good phone camera, set it to IR mode or something similar and point the remote to the phone camera and press a button, you should see a flash. If not your remote is bad, replace batteries and check.

Dear Xulfiqar bhaai , i have checked it with this tip and simultaneously on another AC with same model. remote is fine and in working order. As per mechanic he said that there is a problem in KIT (as per him a PC board Kit which is responsible to react for any program by remote) , he also has made attempt to clean the receiver sensor but result 0, now he says that Kit and remote has to be given to an electronic mechanic and he wil fix it. (as he has solves some assymetric issues) , i am afraid that he might not end up wiht some mess (as usual our mechanic do) , need some suggestion. i will see him again on saturday.

internal kit prob,,, needs repair... mine had the same prob got it repaired working fine... repairing cost 300-500

i have the same haier AC for the last 1.5 years but i have not faced this problem it should be the infared sensor problem in the kit .

most probably the IR photosensor went bad on the control board. In my opinion, the absolute best way to control a split A/C is to use a remote mounted thermostat unit made by Honeywell etc. it also needs its own little control unit but can then directly control the A/C - little expensive but best solution. The problem would be to find an A/C technician that can actually understand how it works.

Hi ,i m facing same problem of my split that its noyt responding to remote.remote is working itself but unit is unable to catch its signals.it gets on...but now i m unable to off it and to operate it anyhow.its been only 3 days that i have purchased this haier R 410 A unit...m worried.plz help:confused:
