My Two (2) Sweet Bhatijian (Niece) were asking for trip to Khanpur Dam since their holidays, so last Sunday, I along with my Sweet Mom & both Sweet Fairies went to Khanpur Dam. A friend of mine told me to must visit the newly constructed Family Resort name (Gandhara Castle Hotel & Resort) at Old Khanpur. After crossing the Khanpur Lake (Almost 1 KM) a rough and tough road on the right side (when you come from Taxila) goes to the resort. Once we thought that we are on a wrong way, as while on the road you can't think that this road goes to any hotel or resort. But when we reached the GC Resort, all pain had gone.
As it is my first thread, will write some detail with few pictures
Nice place to visit... give more detail...i.e variety and quality of food with prices.. any special dish???

On way to Khanpur Lake, a number of "Sardae" Sellers found with huge banners. I don't think that they will be selling the original No.1 product, as its costly to make and sell in a lesser price. Also stopped for few photographs on "Haro bridge". Good crowed were enjoying the water. Near Khanpur, lot of young boys were taking bath in the Canal.
Sun was shinning at its peak and throwing its heat with full mood. We directly went to the hotel and asked the manager there for Menu and ordered lunch. Unfortunately couldn't take the pics of "Chiken Karahi" & "Vegitable & Egg Fried Rice" due to hunger

Food was delicious...and prices are also .....this is a real family place. You can order them any dish mentioned in Menu. They cooked "Karahi" very well and other things were good too. Its a must family visit place
