I want to buy a fully automatic washing machine. Requirements:

  • It should be 100% automatic.
  • Needed for small family (2 adults and 2 kids).
  • Budget is 55K. But I can spend more for a good and reliable product.

Any suggestions about brand and model?

Do they have showrooms in Pakistan? I just checked their website. It looks like they are only in US.

I am also looking for a front loading washing machine and have short listed LG 8kg washer.
May buy it today evening or tomorrow.

I don't like LG as a brand. I had their Plasma TV and Mobile phone. Both stopped working within or little over a year.

Luckily I was able to get my TV repaired in 8K. But the phone was brick. Total lose. I won't use anything from LG ever again. Very bad experience.

Well just bought LG front loading washing machine with 10 years DD motor and 1 year free service and parts warranty. Let's see how it goes

Actually it's been 1.5 years and my wife has no complaints. We are very satisfied with this product.

I started this post. Back then, I ended up buying Sharp (ES-FE710BZ-W) Front Loader washing machine. It's working perfect so far.
It had only one year warranty. I had to claim warranty once for a small problem. But their customer service is pathetic. Their guy charged 500 Rs per visit for his bike's fuel. That shows their mentality very well. Luckily, my machine had a small problem and no parts were needed replacement. I'm afraid they'd charge for that as well. I don't know what kind of warranty is this where you have to pay.

Other than the customer service, the product itself isn't that bad. It has been working quite well for more than one and half a years now.

Dear Adil,
Yes you are right, customer service is really an issue. But quality does matter. Generally imported machines do not need quick repair/ warrantee claim. Plus these are more energy efficient and work efficiently. UpTill now, I am very satisfied with Bosch, very efficient and cleans the cloths excellent. They have also provided one year warrantee for parts and 10 years for motor.

I hv bought Bosch WAK24210GC and very satisfied with machine.
But I think this model has been replaced by WAK24260GC. You can purchase that one. Its made in Turkey.
