Well i have bought vitz model 2012 85 k driven push start varrient .its giving me 9 km/liter in city with full ac and on long it is giving me 12 Km/liter maximum on driving at 120 km/hr speed .. I feel thats the average is quite low as compared to other vitz of same model .things i have already done 1. Spark plugs changed 2.throttle.body cleaned.3.transmission oil changed recently.4.catalytic converter cleaned by liqui moly solution Still the aveage is not improved .overall engine condition is overall very good .so what could be the possible reasons ?or any more things i can check .?
Vitz being a slightly underpowered vehicle, has poor average. Mine 2009/13reg gives the same 9to 10kmpl in city.
Most of my clients claim 14.5 within city.
This is way too low.
Which engine oil grade r u using ?&Whats the original mileage of the car ?
Did u verify the auction sheet ?
I have same 2009/13 and my cars engine has lost power almost at 40-50% performance but still gives me 11-11.5 km/l while back in days it used to give 13-14 km/l in local with AC
its very less...even 1.3 GLI gives more
At 120 kph the fuel average reduces drastically. Best average is under 100. Drive with light foot to get better avg. ECO light on does not mran that car is cruising at most economical fuel consumption. Regards
Please first check your driving style , Always prefer to drive with light foot press on Accelrator/Race.Check Tyre pressure. I use 32 in hot weatherKeep Air Filter Clean weekly.mine 2014 Vitz gives 15-16 with AC in City (in average traffic) and 18-19 with AC on long route (Please keep speed less than 100 to get good fuel average)There is an indicator in your cluster meter that shows you live fuel consumption. Please take its help and test your driving style with light and hard accelerator press.

Problem is solved Allhumdillah .The problem was with gear oil .changed it 2 days ago.and now car is changing gears on time and fuel average have became 14.0 to 14.5 in local with Ac.problem was with collged gear oil filter and gear oil was never changed it was 93k on odo. Gears were not changing on time .The colour of gear oil was also very blackish .

Yes gear oil have specific life .So it is almost 92 k driven till now .I purchased the car at 85 k .The car before oil change have the problem that gear was shifting late as gears was late shifting so car was running heavy and had to throttle hard .so fuel consumption was high .Now the drive is very smooth and it is changing gears on time no need to throttle hard .pick of the car improved to a great extent .
Because are you sure problem is solved and you are getting that much fuel average. Bhai I have decided to buy this mofel of vitz I have gone through posts poeple are saying this one model has bad fuel average. If this is true to bhai this is gem. And it's a million dollar achievement. Waiting for your reply
