The coilovers of any good brand always last longer than stock shock absorbers, because they are build to be abused and driven under abnormal circumstances, also the fact that coilovers installed on vehicles are lowered and they dont let the shock abosorber open all the way to the top of the shock...this thing increasing the life of the shock absorber in the coilover...they even have heavier duty shock seals that prevent from faultering and leakages.

i wonder why he put in b16a without thinking about the excess weight and suspension, the handling and braking would be all over the place.
but i think you helped him understand his actually need rather than what he wants

lol you shud be the suspension genius man, u have function7 lower control arms which i adore, and the eibach sway bar...ure ride wud be handling prettty well +1 for your suspension mods.

well... my old carby engine head and block were both eroding and had been already been repaired before.. the erosion was so severe that my fuel was seeping down the side of the cylinder walls and mixing with the oil, to the point that in a span of 2 weeks, my oil level was rising drastically and was starting to overflow from the oil dip stick.. it was insane...
so... by the end of it i was standing with a dented car with no engine... a very close friend of mine had a spare b16 obd0 engine lying with him.. he gave me a fantastic deal (pay him 100k in a span of 10 months :D) so i took it and have been slowly and steadily been fixing each problem as i kept encountering it.... the engine for now by the Grace of God is running absolutely smooth and trouble free... its the rest of the car that i'm trying to get up to the engine's standard... basically rebuilding the car around the engine...
i got 3 things left to do on the list...
1) Shocks
2) rim/tires
3) brakes

and i am considering these shocks for now which brings me to my next question... can u pm me yur contact number so i can give u a call sometime to discuss the details?

i currently have no issues in acceleration apart from massive wheel spin which i dun mind at all but breaking... yes... that IS a big problem.. but it cant be addressed untill the shocks, rims and tires are not done..

and yea... the handling is a complete mess... i am not the most financially stable person since i am just a school teacher so i got to stay within the confines of my salary and try to get my work done...
i'm not into racing people on the streets cause its just not safe enough and is never worth getting into an accident just to prove who has a bigger dick... by the end of it u just end up proving WHO the bigger dick is..

yes.. knowledge and information should always be spread and never be hogged which is why i have not held any information back from my current setup...

and yes the wheel spin is the problem with soft shocks...and dont worry, u can always contact me for help, even if these are sold, i can arrange more for u if u want at a later time.

i did not mean to offend you sir by any means. as far as i am concerned, i earn even less than you do
and i m not into racing on the streets within traffic too...thats one of the lamest things to do sir. i race at close ended, people and traffic free abandoned or unpopulated places and roads

and oh, dont be ever ahamed of your setup, its something yours.
u have a good base to build upon and best of luck in that
