PAF Tarnol – a great comeback story!

There have been a lot of queries about PAF Tarnol Housing Scheme, Islamabad. This project was initiated in 1989, and has come a long way in terms of development and trading. The housing scheme is located near Chaklala and is easily accessible to GT Road as well. This location has afforded it the prominence which has made it emerge as a profitable investment venture.

Development progress
According to Warrant Officer (Retd) Ghazanfar Ali, 70% of work is already completed and the project has picked up pace since the last few months. He added that all the main roads have been carpeted, while the streets are already constructed and remain to be carpeted. Supply of water, gas, and electricity is also provided to all residential units. He further added that a separate water supply unit is being built, specifically for this society’s residents, and in a few months’ time will be able to supply over 0.6 million gallons of water every day.
Ghazanfar Ali also added that the security guards ensure that there is 24/7 patrolling. He stressed that these aren’t normal security staff that is hired, but the official guards of Pakistan Air Force and will tolerate no mishandling in the society. He also added that the developers are on top of things and ensure that there is a smooth process for both transfer and registration of property.
Location
Qamar Zia Raja, another realtor from PAF Tarnol added that this is the best location for any housing society in Islamabad. Ghazanfar Ali also shared in Qamar Zia’s views and added that the society is located adjacent to Motorway and the new China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route. Furthermore, he said that a Motorway link bypass will pass through the society, affording people direct access to travel throughout Pakistan.
Another very prominent location benefit of PAF Tarnol is its closeness to New Islamabad International Airport and its affiliated road and public transportation networks. Both experts are of the view that this will be the greatest benefit the residents will enjoy. A Metro Bus station is also being constructed close to the society and will allow the residents easy access to the rest of the city.
Investment turnover
Mian Aslam, another realtor added that the market has been slow since the last few months and there is very little buying. This view was partially shared by Ghazanfar Ali and Qamar Zia, as they have observed the prices have started to climb up since last few months.
Qamar Zia believes that in a matter of 3-4 months, the market would pick up pace readily and it will be at the centre of all investment activity. He also added that since the beginning of the new year, prospects of a full market recovery seem bright and in no time the market would climb to new heights.
So investment prospects here are bright. Another thing that Ghazanfar Ali pointed out was the prospects for using plots here as both short term and long term investment. He added that most of the people are waiting for the inauguration of New Islamabad International Airport and as soon as that is done, people will go head on in trading property in PAF Tarnol.
Prospects for PAF Tarnol seem bright this year, and it is expected that they will further improve in the next couple of months. Prices have already gone up as per our experts and for most, residential property remains as the most viable instrument for both trading and buying.
