Fake Brands Everywhere?

Hello guys, I’m starting this thread to get some valuable input. I’m a huge fan of jeans and have been unable to find a decent one in twin cities. Earlier I used to buy 501 and 501 CT of Levis made outside Pakistan from their outlet in Rawalpindi. I visited today and all they have is crap. Not even one decent pair of jeans. All shitty stuff of 2000-3000. In my view a good jeans of Levis in Pakistan is around 5-8000. Please tell about your experience and recommend any shop where quality control is better. Please also tell your views about Levis at Giga Mall, Centaurus and Safa Gold Mall.

I bought my Levi's 511 at Centaurus Mall outlet during a sale in 2015. They cost around 3000 and looked and felt great. Lasted 3 years. Seemed original. Bought some stuff from Levi's at Giga Mall in 2018 again during a sale and the goods seemed fine and of good quality.

Levis Factory Outlet in Commercial Market has lots of variety. Their factory outlet in Saddar is decent too. And jeans there cost 1100-1800.

There is a very old Levis outlet located in Jinah Super market, F7 Islamabad, they used to sell real stuff. 501 costed around 6000, 6-7 years back at that outlet.
I have visited dozens of levis shops/ franchises across the country and they all sell some B grade or QC rejected items normally offered in a package of 2 with prices varying from 2 to 3k.

O bhai, i own a few Levi's jeans bought from PIA road branch in Lahore. Not costed more than 1800 rs each and they are original Levi's (I'm from the US, so i would know). The reason why they might seem cheap is because Levi's jeans are made in Pakistan and then they are exported to other countries. Now, to import them back would raise the cost to 5-8000 as you thought, but be aware, Levi's jeans are one of the few locally made product that have quality.

I got into an accident once. My Nike's sweatshirt tore slightly but my Levi's remained intact.
Btw, i have 511s and one 522.

Levi's is now making all kinds of quality - Same 501 comes with low weight denim and also the old style rough and tough denim. Just yesterday bought one from giga mall store. There was a factory outlet store in PWD that is getting relocated so its closed for 10 days. Go there once new one is open. You will get better price and product

Wow.. Didn't know jeans would wear in just 3 years.... I have got few and are more than 5 years old. Mind me but i work under the cars.

The products at factory outlet are B class and not comparable to full price items. Source: their own salemen.

Maybe you have never worn the right stuff. But never mind. Aur yaar main theek thaak kharund admi hoon so dude just chill and keep wearing 500 rupees raja bazar jeans and rock like a pindi boy. Real men care about what they wear

Someone said that Pakistan exports Levis to USA or Euorope are mistaken. Pakistan makes the best raw product but poor finishes goods. Go to a mall in USA, UK or Middle East. Their Levis is usually made in USA or Euorope and starting price is 17000. So please stop saying kai Pakistan ki 2000 rupees wali thaki hui jeans wahan ja kar 17000 ki ho jati hai. The jeans out there are exceptionally good. No comparison.
Secondly those who say that go to factory outlet are again mistaken. Agar koi factory jo products bnati hai and 50% sai zyada defected items factory outlet par chalay jatay hain then wo factory band ho jani chaheyay.

2. Levis Mexico
3. Levis Vietnam/ Thailand
4. Levis Pakistan
5. Levis at factory outlet
6. Denizen by Levis

Yeah what do you expect from a salesman to tell you to sell a jeans worth 8000 Rs? This is the kind of attitude we as a nation have that higher the price higher would be the quality.

Factor outlets are everywhere these days but there is one main branch. For lahore its the mm alam one and I believe there they still sell for 5k.

I am thinking of opening a shop where i would buy levis jeans @ 3000 and put a tag on it worth Rs 8000. That will definitely improve its quality and make it real real original. Please do shop from me. I'll be highly obliged.

Sadly the sales guy was right. If you go to any factory outlet shop read a few disclaimers displayed behind the cash counters.
The items bought from factory outlet has no guarantee of fading etc.

P.S I have never bought a pair of jeans worth more than 2500.

@All of those who says Pakistan manufactures cheap quality Denim are yet to explore our Denim Export industry. Levi's is among those brands that have highest standards for garment manufacturing more than of H&M and Inditex.

Rajby, Soorty, Artistic (Milliners, Fabric & Garments, Denim Mills & Apparels) , Gul Ahmad, Alkaram are among few leading Exporters that export millions of pieces annually.

P.s. I'm associated with Denim Industry and i know what quality is manufactured and trims attached to it. And i take pride in saying that Pakistan is one of the leading countries in exporting Quality denim.
