Each section contains many pics. i hope u guys will enjoy.
During my stay in Pindi, one day i planned to visit Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh & Pir Sohawa. It was a short, night time trip.
Now these r the pics of Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh & Pir Sohawa.
(all pics r reduced in size & quality)
FAISAL MOSQUE ISLAMABAD
Faisal Mosque is situated at the end of Shaharah-e-Islamabad, against the backdrop of the picturesque Margalla Hills. This placement defines its importance, positioning it on elevated terraced land ensures its visibility during day and night for miles around. The mosque is dedicated to the memory of the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia who graciously defrayed the cost of the project as a gift to the people of Pakistan.
A later addition to the grounds of the Faisal Mosque is the mausoleum of General Zia-ul-Haq, (President of Pakistan, 1978 to 1988), which receives people who stop to offer fateha.

Daman-e-Koh
Daman-e-Koh: Its a spot on Margalla hills which are covering Islamabad from western side. These hills are behind Shah Faisal Mosque. This spot offers a view of the whole Islamabad city.

Pir Sohawa
Pir Sohawa: One of the lovely places in Islamabad is "Pir Sohawa". It is located near the top of the Margalla Hills after crossing Daman-e-Koh. The road for Pir Sohawa is very steep so your car must be in good condition if you are planning to go there. This spot is located at good height so weather is nice in Summers and in winters. From Pir Sohawa you can easily view whole Islamabad city.
