Guys i got the same issue today.
it was raining today, and i drove car ( honda city 2005) through water, tyres submerged. and also my left side roof is leaky.
now EPS light is on, and steering is so hard at idle and at slow speeds that it needs pushing from my shoulders, but at high speeds above 20kph it gets normal soft and usual as it used to be.
and i remember that when i parked the car EPS was working fine, but after some 7 to 8 hours when i started the car the steering was hard, the clicking sound like grrrr came from steering, when i switched off and on the car EPS came back but again when i turned the car it gone, now no EPS. but steering shows some strange feel while turning.
