Engine oil recomendation gli 2017

Hi everybody,

My car clocked 1200km so should i change engi e oil now or change it at 5000km.

Plz suggest best engine oil for 1.3l. I have searched threads some says patron plus 10w30 some says toyota motor oil (tin pack) and some says taglon 5w50. Some says dont use fully synthetic untill 10000km

So plz recomend which is best for a brand new engine. I want smoothness of engine with fuel economy.

PSO Carient Semi Synthetic 10w-40. Change at 5000.

Have been using PSO oils for years and cannot fault them!

Use the same oil in GLI auto 2016. Was on toyota oil before and that oil did not even make it to the 5k recommended oil change mark in summers. Started burning up and engine reduced oil at only 10k mileage. Haven't had any problems with PSO!

Use any good 5w-30 or 5w-40 oil.
Shell 5w-30 semi synthetic
Shell 5w-40 fully synthetic
Total 5w-3 fully synthetic
Zic 5w-40 fully synthetic
Zic 5w-20 semi synthetic
Kixx 5w-40 fully synthetic
Mobi1 0w-40 fully synthetic
Liqui moly 5-40 fully synthetic
Liqui moly 5w-30 fully synthetic
Toyota 5w-30 Tin fully synthetic
Toyota 10w-30 Tin semi synthetic
There are many options choose whichever you like.
I personally like shell or Toyota Tin can.

I have heard that dont use fully or semi synthetic oil in new engine. What do u say about it

My ex-GLi’s first oil change was on 1800 km, I’ve used only 5w40 grade in that car and the engine became soundless which was otherwise very noisy. Go for Liqui Moly, you will not regret this decision.
