Hi
Anyone converted carb based fuel system to efi on their bikes ?

Need some real world results. It's any efi kit available locally?
Any juggar?

I hype it will give great results on the derbi and the 200cc engine swaps.
Below one seems pretty priced reasonably well especially if one is using swapped 200cc engine only if this efi kit gives better mileage, responsive and isn't suffering from the altitude

Seems someone ordered it from pakistan for a 100cc model.
Hope someone will chime on on this topic.

Yes these are expensive but if one goes for engine swap like it's done these days then do t in that case you have an efi bike below 50-60k..

But it all boils down to whether this efi kit is any reliable. And what's mileage and response at different altitudes.

@vickytulla sir this is prime time to test it considering that you have a good amount of engines to test it at..

Don't think there will be a big difference in mileage. Throttle response increases. Rpm become limited. It will work fine with altitude depending upon the sensors it have.

It is very much doable. Esp easier if the carburetor is not flange type like in cd70. For flange type manifold you need to make an adapter.

Otherwise, it is a very good improvement. you get a performance button which lets you tell the ecu whether you want performance or economy.

You can get gains in top end rpms as you can give it more fuel than a carburetor.

I'm going to do a YBR engine sometime soon

I am looking to take this idea commercial and to provide this as a viable option. Will like to talk to Margallar to get more details about this.

I think, if you have a passion for cars or bikes, Efi conversion is one of the most challenging, but rewarding things you can do to yourself

Ecotrons efi kit. Experiment was on cd70 engine, which went really well.

I have a really shitty YBR125 engine and also a honda 125 engine (in import). One of those will be next. Last time i was involved a small bit in the tuning process. This time i will probably do it on my own.

its hard, you waste alot of fuel to get the V.E table right. but afterwards, you have a really cheap running engine with a button for performance. It does have altitude correction, idle control and warm up factors

Good. I have Piaggio with 200cc liquid cooled engine. 17nm/15hp. Using pz30 and brutal acceleration I get 35-40kmpl on long routes. Recent trips from islamabad to abbotabad to muzaffarabad to pir chanasi to murree to isb 380kms in only 9 ltr. That pigs its avg above 40kmpl.

Any ideo efi will bring any improvements in performance or fuel efficiency?

Never faced any engine heat up or altitude affect on engine performance.

EFi will give gains in both power and economy. BUT, it is not as easy as bolting the damn thing on the engine, it takes months to get it to run right. Also, it is very expensive. I don't remember the exact numbers, since i used it in university, but the equipment was upwards of 60k.
