E FBR Tax filing: MSG.IRIS-12-018. Submission is not allowed

Aoa,

While filing my tax return using the IRIS system of FBR, after completing all information, when I press the Submit button, I get the message

MSG.IRIS-12-018. Submission is not allowed. Draft version is provided for tax payer and tax practitioners feedback.

I have been filing my tax return successfully for the last many years without any problems.

Does anyone know what could be the reason for this and how I can resolve this ?

W.S. Bro it's the same thing which I experienced.

I called helpline regarding this issue. The guy said that FBR has not started tax returns filing for the year 2017-2018. It will start somewhere in the month of August, 2018.

He further added that template / draft for filing tax returns for the year 2017-2018 might be different from the previous years, so there is no use in saving the current draft and it may be discarded.

So Bro, it's better to wait for the official start of filing of tax returns. When they start (and it will be advertised in the daily newspapers), only then we will be able to file them.

Change the period and you will not get the error.
16-17 period.
17 to 18 will appear in september.

well, I want to file for 17-18 period. I already filed for 16-17 period last year.

Once again Pak Wheels came to rescue. I just faced the same error and googled MSG IRIS 12-018 and PaKWheels came up with most relevant answer.

Its Mid of August 2018 now. still I am getting same error.

Today on 16th Aug, 2018 I have tried to submit but still showing the same error message "MSG.IRIS-12-018. Seems FBR is waiting for the new Govt formation...

Now FBR server is not responding. When I click on 2018 year to download form, it keeps on loading but never loads. It seems their server is overloaded. Thaki government ki thaki FBR.

This is what I get today when I try to login today. Tax return dena azab ban gya hai.

clear cache , restart your browser,

some members submitted their 114 / 115 / 116 ( as applicable) returns during past 3 days successfully.

Iris is fully functional & active

UPDATE : The E FBR Tax filing system is working properly now.

Yea, I submitted it the next day. It wasn't my PC, as I tried to submit on 3 different computers and internet connections. FBR's Iris problems are common and well reported in media as well.

The filing deadline is in 6 minutes. I cannot submit my company's return as it is still giving the following error "MSG.IRIS-12-018-Submission is not allowed. Draft version is provided for Taxpayer and Tax practitioner feedback"

Any ideas how to solve this problem.
