Assalam o Allaikum Pakwheelers,I am looking to buy a Jeep/SUV for adventure and touring purposes with a budget of around 28lac. I have RKR on my radar as a good option but I am worried about its resale value. Please advise me on that. Thanks
People usually dont buy such vehicles thinking of resale value.."shoq da koi mul ni" as the saying goes
No, SUVs don't have good resale value.
Why RKR in 2.8 million, any specific reason? Why not a comparatively modern offroad capable vehicle e.g. Surf, Prado, Hilux which are easier to own, more practical and have better resale value than a RKR.
The three options you have mentioned are beyond my budget at the moment.
Yes that's true but if the need arises to sell. I am asking in that context.
Online demanded prices of SUV are usually higher than actual market price.2.8 million should get you a good Surf 1990-95 , Hilux from 1990-2000 and Prado upto 1990-92/3.
That sounds good. I am also concerned about a good engine in the SUV that I buy. I have seen options with the NEW B3, 1HZ, 1KZ, 1HD. Which one has the most punch? I plan to do regular offroads on passes such as Badgoi, Noori, Baboon and Lowari, etc
IMHO, 1HD is the best amongst the 4 you mentioned. These passes can be easily done with any engine incl 660cc of Jimny e.g. check this thread https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/t/autumn-trip-to-ghizer-yasin-chitral-kalash-via-kaghan-babusar-shandur-and-lowari/259942/250?u=waqasch1
Very interesting
