Hey All,
I have a simple question.. will changing the tyres of japan assembled cars (vitz, belta, mira etc.) effect their pickup? and what about the fuel economy?
Some local tyre wala's told me that pickup would decrease and car would eat up much more petrol.. is it true?
Thnx
yes bro it is true...if u change the tyre size of any car (not only vitz belta or mira) it will surely effect the fuel economy .....
it depends
Nd wat about pick? pick bhi kharab ho jaye gi?
Bigger Tire & Rims1.Slow pick but greater top speed2. Reduces fuel economy3. Bad for your suspension system4. Looks good
yes it will effect pick a bit...
Bigger/wider tyres = More friction thus lesser initial pickup and fuel economy decreases.Although the braking becomes better with wider tyres.
Stock tyres = Lesser friction thus economy is increased and so is the pickup. However the braking wont be as good as it will be with wider tyres.
so if youre sayin smaller tyres increase pick then if i get 12inch tyre in my civic vti 2000 then i would beat reborn in pick ?? :S please use logic
Who is saying you to use a small tyre?I clearly mentioned the word stock tyre size.
Stock tyres = Lesser friction thus economy is increased
hummmm....what 12 inch rim has to do with stock ...any logic?
So i should keep the tyre size stock?
Right now i have 14" rims with thick tyres (will mention the profile later after checking)... So if i go for 15" low profile, i.e total tyre radius and circumference wont increase, then it wont have any effect right? :S
What tire profile are you running currently?
185/65/r14
That's the stock profile!
I know, but if i go for 15" low profile then the radius of tyre would still be the same... it wont effect pickup then right?
bigger tire will reduce ur economy and also speedo meter wont tell accurate speed...speedometer is set to stock tyre size frm factory!
Ohh, i get it...
I have changed my car tires from 175-65-R15 to 195-65-R15.How will it effect in fuel consumption?
First of All its digged
Fuel efficiency will be effected because the grip increase...the friction between tyres and road increases which results in increasing of force that require to move the vehicle....in this way fuel efficiency is effected.
