DIY, Inverter cooling fans or peltier thermocooler, advice needed

Hi,
i have fronus matrix inverter and its heat sinks have no fan. so it gets pretty hot even in start of summer. so i was planning a simple DIY which i already did. added 2 small fans with regulator to control there speed, but i was thinking to have a peltier thermocooler device attached to the heat sink which will make it considerably cooler than fans. anyone has idea ?

hmm ye thats what i was not sure . so what do you suggest ? its not even start of summer and the inverter is blazing hot.

How come an inverter without fans? Its impossible... Can you share pics?
You need to apply thermal paste under the mosfets.
Air duct (plastic) must be there (it is must for efficient passage of air through the heat sink fins.

A TEC unit that uses the peltier effect needs a lot of power to create the temperature delta, with very poor efficiency. How will you power it?
The hot side of the TEC will get even hotter than your inverter is getting right now. You will have a lot more heat to deal with and remove from the area. How will you cool the hot side? How will you deal with condensation on the cold side?

Fans are more effective than you may think. You can purchase some PWM fans, used server fans are great if noise isn't an issue. Measure the temperature of the hottest components with and without the fans, and see the difference they make. Evaluate whether additional cooling is necessary using objective measurements, not based on how hot it feels.

Add quality thermal compound between components and heatsinks if not already present.

ip65 inverters are without fan inside the body of inverter. they rely on heat sink.

ye after researching a bit, i found out that the idea of peltier was not doable. so i added 2 fans, but i dont want to add a temperature sensor to the heat sink of inverter. so i am just running those fans almost continuously 24/7. i had old battery of ups which i attached to those fans with dimmer. so at night i just turn them on lower speed and in day , i increase it.

how you will handle the water condensation ?
that is why it is not used as heat sink.

If the cooling is very necessary and you want to safely lower the temperature without any condensation I believe cpu water cooling diy can give much better results.

Sorry for digging up old post bro... Did you manage to lower the heatup of your inverter?

its ok. ye i installed three small fans, connection with adapter and now atleast not heats up as it was heating up before.
