Decent sound system for gli 2011

Salam friends and sound gurus !!!

i want to change the rear stock speakers of gli 2011 as its sound quality isnt much good with poor bass , so can any one suggest me a good rear speakers with amplifier and a small subwoofer also , i like bass very much , so can any one suggest me a good subwoofer that does not use much power and produce good base for me like in range of 400 to 500 watts or lesser , i dont want a very heavy type of tommy system, just a descent subwoofer and a excellent bass producing rear speakers. with good 4way amplifier,so that i could connect the rear speakers and subwoofer to it . my price limit is 15 to 20k. Kindly help me out !!!

kenwood kfc-3010 sub.... ..... 4k

this will add upto somthing around 20k. the sub is an old model, but its rated at 200rms and the amp is rated at 180rms. so a perfect match. also as ur not into getting very loud or worried about the sub picking all the notes in every song, this is a very good option. better subs are more expensive and will need more power meaning more efficient amplifiers that will cost more too.

thankyou so much for your replies !!!! for the speakers that u mentioned how is the sound quality and bass of speakers as i want best speakers , i might not buy a subwoofer because someone told me that you will loose your car battery very early if installed a sub. by the way you can also suggest me a good subwoofer and also how much budget should i raise for the sub ,but still i would recommend that i would favor a descent sub not that hifi type,,,,but i want the best stereo speakers in this case once again thanks for ur concern

and by the way the speakers you ppl mentioned i saw these on google it has sticker showing 500 watt Max isnt this power too much i mean 2 speakers * 500 = 1000 watts , battery tu down nai hogi is sy ???

Why are u going for a woofer if u dont need earth shaking bass. Normal speakers will do the part. Go for some high end rear speakers and components, they will produce good bass.

Pioneer here is the better choice. (Pioneer TS-6975v2) are actually one of the best pioneer has to offer.

u also said the speakers are rated at 500watts. this is the maximum rating. theyr actually rated at 80watts (RMS). the rms is the true wattage figures of the speakers and the basis on how to set up a system.

the sub (Kenwood KFC-w3010) is rated at 200rms and 1000watts max. again its the 200rms we will be considering.

the amplifier (Pioneer gm-6500f) is a 4 channel amp. channel 1 & 2 will be connected to your speakers. 60watts will be given to each speaker. channel 3 & 4 will be bridged (combined) and will power the sub giving it 180watts.

this means ur speakers will be getting around 80% of the power they need and the sub will be getting 90% of the power it needs. so u have a very efficient combo and dont have to be worried about anything.

as for the battery problem, yes u will drain it out if u listen to ur setup that is running amps and subs for a long period of time while the ignition is switched off. if u run ur cars engine (revving it to approx 1500~2000rpm will give u the max current) and play ur music no matter how long, u will never drain ur battery.

a sub isn't just meant for earth shaking bass sir. that is the wrong impression most of us have. its simply a mid-bass driver just like the one u have in your components. the only difference is that the sub is meant to work in a range of frequencies that are missed out from our speakers. this is the low frequency range, low notes or the vibrations (bass) u fell

subs in a sq setup aren't meant for shaking your car rather to fill in the notes u normally wouldn't hear even with the best comps.

so even a cheap sub can do wonders

thanks for your reply i,m surely gonna buy the speakers you mentioned and amplifier as well but if i dont install a sub and just connect my rear speakers to the amplifiers then how would it be ?? and by the way do i need to change the front door speakers also with it what do you recommend ??

if u dont go with the sub, then that wont change the way ur speakers are gona work. but ul be missing out on some of the low frequencies.

Here is what most people do.

the disconnect the rear speakers, install quality components upfront and add a subwoofer in the back. why its done like this is because the people who sit in the front get a nice and clean output from the components upfront and the bass from the back. the subs are put in a completly sealed box to give out a deeper output rather then going loud. this is a perfect combo for the people upfront. this is how most people prefer it.

but this means the people in the back dont really get to experience the same output from the components and get a load from the sub. so if u wanna keep the people in the back happy, add coaxials (speakers) to the rear aswell keeping in mind that the 2 sets should be of similar type. if u put focal upfront and sony in the back, ul just destroy everything. this is done to get the surround sound or what v can call the 5.1 or 7.1 systems.

so now its ur choice. u can get the amp i told u and run it with a pair of components upfront and sub in the back with the stock rear speakers disconnected OR the amp with components upfront and sub in the back while still running the stock rear speakers from the pre OR new rear coaxials plus sub from the amp with the front speakers running from pre OR new rear coaxials plus sub from the amp and disconnect the front stock speakers.

remember, if u install the rear speakers and sub with the amp, all of ur music will be focused to the back. in this case if u go for running ur stock front speakers from the pre while the rears and sub run from the amp, the front speakers will not keep up with the upgraded things and will destroy ur music envirement. so is the case with running stock rear speakers with upgraded comps and sub.

SO heres what u do.

1) get front components and a sub and run them from the amp. disconnect the rear stock speakers.
2) get front comps and new rear coaxials and run all speakers from the amp.
3) u can get the rear speakers and sub but all ur music will be to the back. u can run ur stock front speakers but that will be a disaster.

so option1 > option2 > option3

What I have done in my case is JBL k component and JVC k rear speakers... I was buying complete set of JVC but the shopkeeper told me to buy JBL component.. Can u help me out on this? I am on 4 channel amp.

the problem which u will face if u run ur coaxials directly off the Headunit (while running the components and sub off an amp) is u will have no control on the output of the coaxials..turning volume up will make them go so loud that u will not be able to enjoy the music frm the front stage..ideally a 4 ch amp is used to run both the components n coaxials,,(while setting the gain of the coaxials to as low as possible so it does not overshadows the front stage) and a mono amp to run the sub..

so how much that will cost then if i buy two amps btw isnt there 5 channel amp??

and what if i buy just a 4channel amp and connect the front stock speakers and the new rear ones to it i think it will also alleviate the burden of costing too much on sound as i also have to modify my car using some other stuffs of altis

there r 5ch amps bt those r expensive..
if u do not want to extend ur budget then heres wat i think u shud get.
1)pioneer gm6500f 9.5k
2)pioneer 6965 coaxials i think 5k
3)any sub rated at 200rms wd enclosure around 5k.

ur setup will sound reasonable..

dont run ur stock speakers from an external amp. they just dont sound as good as any after market speakers.

the speakers that come stock in pkdm cars are pathetic. theyr of no competition when u compare them to ff setups in the more expensive car manufacturers.

yes there are 5-channel amps but coming across a branded 1 is very unlikely and theyr expensive. the cheaper ones are all either fake or dont pack enough punch to run a setup like it should.

a 4 channel for all the speakers plus a mono for the sub will definitly cost u 35k+.... the combo wont be cheap.

sir the jbl comps u have are one of the best in the category in the price range they fall in. the midbass in insane. il pm u a way to actually make them sound 30% better if done right. as for the jvc, falls in the same category and jvc do make some very neutral coaxials. theyr just no appreciated.

U didnt get me. I wanted to ask that according to this I am destroying everything because I have JBL comp. And JVC coaxial. I mean these are to different set so I am destroying everything. Right?
