Daewoo matiz

hey guys I saw a daewoo Matiz today on a traffic signal ....
it seems to be a carbon copy of Chevrolet Joy....
i tried to search it on web after getting back home .... to my wonder i found a cevrolet matiz as weelll...........

kya garbar gotala hai ...

whts the story behind ... experrt opinion need
...has chevrolet bought the design from Daewoo ...

Correct me if i am wrong. Matiz is in market for many years. Chevrolet also produced this with Daewoo for Korean market.

Then they decided to export to other countries like Pakistan.. (the importers from here) because of the FAME here requested that monogram of Daewoo may be removed so thats how Chevrolet gave birth to 'Joy'... (for land of Pures... ). Infact in start all these were Korean made cars.

Guys do try to search the previous posts before coming up with something "amazing" ........ this thing has been discussed in sooooooooo much detail years ago........ The chevrolet u get here is the original daewoo matiz..... it's even printed on some of the engine parts "daewoo"........chevrolet owns daewoo now..... the optra is also a daewoo.......Rest u can search on the previous forums ....... use the search option instead of browsing through all the forums........

Dear Brother,
Both cars (Daweoo and Chevrolet Matiz) are ineed the same car. Originally its a Daewoo vehicle. Daewoo Motor Co. was bought by General Motors Corp. in 2002. They then added this car to their Chevrolet line-up for European, Asian and Middle East markets. In Korea and i guess in some far east countries its still sold as Daewoo Matiz. This car is a badge-engineered Daewoo car.

Its other names are:

Chevrolet Exclusive
Chevrolet Joy
Chevrolet Spark
Pontiac Matiz G2

Daewoo Matiz was on display in Karachi's showroom some 10 years back, the company Daewoo was actually putting most of the things in its car from GM, now that GM owns Daewoo, they changed its Label to Chevrolet, the good thing about Matiz/Joy/Exclusive and the copy Chery QQ is that it was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, thats why this car stands out in the crowd.
