D16 head. i need answers asap!

Salam everyone!
i had a d16y6 engine, that unfortunately went thru internal block damage over the passage of time due to using salty water in the radiator. the block corroded and lead to serious permanent damage.
the block i know is gone. but i feel the head can still work, along with the pistons.
but he head has a 3-5mm very very very minor dent on its surface. and the mechanic told me its damaged cmpletely. but i feel it can work. so cud i hav sm feedback?
and the pistons, the pistons were very strong, but wen the engine was opend, he moved the piston side to side very slightly and said they shudnt be moving at all.
so i dnt knw if that is normal or not. so cud i hav an experts feedback on these two things?
or else i wud have to get a new engine which wud cost me alot.
or i cud just get a new.block and get the work done asap!
i wud be very thankful if i get a good feedback. thanku! =)

On the same topic, what water should one use for the radiator? We get salty water where I live and while I used bottled water for my Mehran, 2 of the water jackets leaked within 6 months. I don't know if it was because of the bottled water or was a prevailing issue. But the question is; what water should one use?

i was told to use anti-rust anti-corrosion coolant. mixing it with drinking water shouldnot be an issue.

Get pyro coolent, it is ready to use do not add any water in it, it is tested by me n work like charm, no rust no leak, nor heating issue..

try to find a d16y6 block again

everything else u will try to do will just waste money and time

d15, 2 stage vtec fits in clip to clip bolt to bolt, but the second vtec doesnt work with pkdm ecu

u mean to say that the head would work perfectly and i should only get the d16y6 block? (or the assembly ie the block and the head together) regardless of wat the mechanic said that the head is damaged too cuz of that very tiny dent present? (i dnt think it wud cause any issue, leme knw if u think so :s) just so u know, il be going boost on it soon too. or just all motor hvnt decided yet.

but im not sure if itl be available at shershah. il hav to chek it out. :s

im not a noob, but ive heard this word kabli/kabali block or engine. are they realy seald?

If you are going to get head assembly, then dnt get this y6 again, its ukdm engine, get replaced with y8 or zc, both are obd1, you can work with that block, get d15 block, use ur stuff, but as u mention tat there is dent on head, life of such minime will be minimized, so get headassembly swap n stay free, n do post the pix of head so we could see what exactly happened.

they come from abroad in containers as car scrap.
not all engines are in good condition b.t.w

yes its better to get block and head both.used to cost 25k. not sure of new rates

do not get y8. it would be civil and screwed by some local user

Civil engines are stamped as PK____so n so, all kabili engines came with D____ so n so, n yes you need a sharp eye, enough judgement skills, to get healthy kabli engine.

yupp!! ill chek the engine codes!! make sure they not pk!
ill go for the y8!! if i find a good one in a gud price. or il get a y6 only.
il be going right after im done with my exams, starting tmoro! and by that time election hangamas shud be finishd. so itl be safe to go!
and in ure opinion how much do u think the assembly cost? just a rough estimate wud be good!

d16y8 is very hard to find! they rarely come! see if you can find yourself a d15b single vtec! that would be great! all d15s d16s cost around 75 80k complete a good piece! and just the long block alone costs around 40

yeahh, ill be going for the d16 longblock only...be it y8, or y6.depends on the condition and availability. wont cost me.much. just realy realy hope i find one
nahh im not such a fan of d15s realy. they realy gud, ligher and about the same power. but idk i feel d16s to be a bit more powerful. and d15s have become too popular:p
been 4months haven driven my car.
im tryn to get the head pics. but since every1s sayin to get the entire assembly it aint use. but il get it soon, pm u the pics anyways! =)
