Cultus carby fuel pump issue

Salam guys...facing fuel pump issue here in islamabad...2004 carby cultus...have used external fuel pump twice and changed the internal 3-4 times with both new and kabuli...all seem to stop working after 5-6 months...the mechanic has checked the fuel tank which seem to be fine...the fuel filter has been changed....
one thing i have noticed that every time the fuel pump starts to cause problem the fuel indicator seems to start causing problems too..sometimes its way up and sometimes it goes way down (no idea why that happens)...which fuel pump should i get...cant seem to find a genuine kabuli one...hkt fuel pump is available in market costs around 5500 but i dont want to waste any more money...the mechanic recommends an external fuel pump says kay purani garion mai use hota hai kabuli...it will reolve the issue...but i am skeptical...any suggestions?

Your fuel pumps shouldn't be failing so fast. Is it possible that fuel pump continues to run even after the car is switched off?

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter?! It should be located right under the handbrake in the middle of fuel line. Also check fuel pressure if its still low then the entire fuel line has to be changed.

no...i checked it the fuel pump is switched off when the car is off.

yes replaced it but the issue remains....the fuel pressure is ok when the fuel pump is working.

Kindly suggest some reliable mechanic who is expert in such issues maybe i need a different opinion.

i have been searching for a genuine fuel pump but my search has been fruitless up till now....the original fuel pump from suzuki costs above 60,000 with no guarantees and im not willing to take risk.

Bro its a mitsubishi pump that is used in cultus, look for other threads on pakwheels someone has mentioned it. Suzuki oem is same as this pump but part no needs to be confirmed

yes i was going through the threads but people have only mentioned mitsubishi pump...there is no picture or part number so I have no idea what to say to the shopkeeper. Or if I am buying the correct item,

Don't go for external fuel pumps, doesn't work. I installed it in my 2001 Carby Cultus and the engine would shutoff climbing a bridge.
Got the Mitsubishi one I think from a shop years ago and it's working flawlessly.
Your issue needs expert diagnosis. the pump you are getting may not be right. Any other culprit? Like fuel tank rust? Carburetor issue?

It should be a bad carburettor in that case, because even the chinese fuel pumps don’t go bad that often.

Bro which shop...do you have their number...cant seem to find a mitsubishi one in the market...yes expert diagnosis is required but i have lost trust in mechanics...do you know any expert mechanic?
how could the carburetor be causing the fuel pump to fail?
