Cultus 2017 vs swift

Salam guys ! I want to buy Suzuki cultus VXL or Suzuki Swift. I'm confused as they both cost about the same. Fuel economy is number 1 priority. I've heard that swift is not that comfortable so I wanna know if it's the same with new cultus VXL. Let me know which car has better driving experience as well.

fuel efficiency of cultus is better....but it has same engine as wagon r......so if you really want fuel efficiency why dont you go for that.....swift is not comfortable as cultus.....but let me tell you a story.....i bought a honda city....uss kay suspensions kaafee stiff thay....so what i did was change the tyres from 175 65 r15 to 185 65 r15.....and believe me it became a different car altogether.....it became quite comfortable.....the fuel efficiency did drop by 1kml and the pick did drop a bit.....but the level of comfort the car provides now is quite better...i have driven cultus a bit...i have not driven swift.....i feel cultus is a very good car and has good comfort level but it is quite overpriced.....the vxr should have been priced at 11 lakh while vxl should have been priced at 12.5 lakh.....then it would have been a good buy.....

Swift is one of the most uncomfortable cars in Pakistan, overpriced too. New Cultus is very compact, expensive. I owned FAW V2 for 1.5 years until it had a deadly accident I had to let it go. All airbags imploded, all safety features worked. I have experience with all three of them. V2 is a leader here. It gives 13-15km in city. The issue with Suzuki cars is the suspension and seats. They have good quality of interior but seats are a problem. V2 comes with ergonomic seats and a very spacious cabin, a bit noisy though. As far as engine is concerned, V2 has best engine in compact cars right now in Pakistan. It's crank is powerful! All these cars have poor market value so it won't make any difference. If fuel mileage is really of your concern, go for Vitz.

Go for Swift eyes closed giving me an average of 12kmpl intercity with light foot and cultus cannot be compared with swift regarding the power output of swift I've taken it to babusar top without any issues performed better then gli cultus is way to compact but it totally depends on your requirement id rather suggest you to buy a wagon r then cultus same engine etc or you can jump towards city if you can manage

@amircase82 yea I agree with you. It's way too expensive for a cultus.
@hussy.plus I think I will consider faw v2 as well but the thing is the spare parts are hard to find and it's new so I don't know if I should invest it on it. How much does it cost btw ?

Oh yaar...faw v2 costs 10.5 lacs and it us also a very good buy.....you will get airbags, alloy wheels, immobilizer and a very good 1300cc engine....so yes you should also check it out......my opinion would be to test drive all three cars before deciding.....but yes faw v2 is a good car....

I drove V2 for 75,000 KMs in just 1.5 year. It didn't do any abnormalities. It performed better than Pakistani cars.

About spare parts, everything is available at their dealership. I had a minor incident of broken CATconverter, which they installed for free because of warranty. One thing that is great about V2 right now, they are trying their best to beat Suzuki. They will do anything to satisfy you. CATconverter doesn't come on warranty but they installed it for free.

in fuel economy new cultus is on top. it gives 20-21 kmpl on long route with ac and speed of 100 to 120kmh

but the problem is FAW is giving 1st gen vitz engine in V2 and look at the quality of doors and trunk lock
i know suzuki is also a low quality but alot better
i brought cultus VXL 2 months ago and that time i visit 3to4 time to FAW Showroom to compare V2 with cultus and believe me FAW still not close to even suzuki

I would've considered FAW v2 but the thing is, the interior as well as the exterior both are not that good. The new cultus have better interior but FAW has bigger and better engine.

Bigger but not better in my point of view
FAW XPV Van got engine of PKDM Suzuki Alto of Chinese copy
FAW V2 got engine of JDM Toyota Vitz 1st gen with a lower quality parts

@racerali I'm thinking of vitz as well! Can somebody tell me the price of vitz 1000cc and 1300cc ?

A 1000cc grade 4 vitz will cost you 14 to 14.5 lacs....but you can also get a really good passo in this price range....

How you came to the conclusion that Chinese engines were built with lower quality parts ?
Any evidence or data to support your claim ?

yes my close Friend Brought XPV Van he is not happy with its engine performance and after 60k KM his van engine gaveup me also test it and yes its totaled and he needs to sell but due to low(no) resale he got into trouble

in my home i have 2012 Vitz 1000cc toyota Rawal Motors maintained.
my experience in pathetic so Sluggish and under powered with bad Fuel economy i got in city it gives max 13kmpl and 15kmpl highway in one month use

It is not evidence. It could have failed due to many reasons but you have a right to your opinion.

In term of performance Swift leads when compared with Cultus. A well maintained swift can give upto 14 kmpl. If fuel economy is your major concern then you should not go for swift.
