Hello everybody!,

Ive been planning and filtering options about buying car,

-Earlier i decided upon a mehran, But since i got to know the cheaper the parts the sooner they need to be replaced, I let go of the idea,

-My second choice was the Suzuki Alto (2008 aboive models).

Yes the little dinky is a bit nice to drive, But i hate the seating position, the loud engine that only shouts and takes you no where and the gear shift is realy bad, (maybe bigger cars have ruined me).

-My third choice for now, I drove a friends Coure the other day, (actualy toed another Coure with his Coure) The car lacked Torque, But was pretty light on driving, The driving position, The acceleration etc, The best part drives fantastic on CNG, Altho im not a CNG guy.

Personaly ive always hated Coure for its miniature size and so high pricing, But on the look out, used Coures and Alto similar year models fall in the same price range.

I also had a Japanese 660cc dinkies in my mind, But if i get a car my daily running would be atleast 60kms, And from defence to SITE i would need frequent spares, God know maybe body parts too. So i decided that Coure might be a better option.

Im unable to find Coure reviews, Infact their isnt much at all on Coure on Pakwheels, So owners please share your experience about the Coure, I know their arnt much add ons avalible for Coure as much are avalbile for the Alto but i guess peace of mind is a much more important thing.

So Coure users, Ex-Users please put in your 2 cents.

PS: My main concern is mileage per KM of the car, I dont care about the resale or the size, im going to drive it alone probably.

-Drive
-Braking
-Fuel average (petrol/CNG both)
-Spare parts avalibility and pricing
-Issues associated with CNG,
-Anything else that i need to know off?

PS: Dont suggest me the Alto i have 2 in family, not interested. This is just brain storming, My options might change with time untill i get something

Coure is Good Choice.BTW I am using alto 2010 from day 1.
Fuel Economy:Excellent on CNG 180+km with highway at 115m/h a bit thirsty on petrol but manage to attain 14km/l with extreme care.
Suspension:Fine with 2 persons on board.
Coure fuel economy is also good suspension is also very comfortable.A bit expensive parts.Excellent for local driving and as u mentioned feels very light.

I'm an ex owner of cuore. Still miss that car a lot.

Drive wise cuore is better than Alto, cultus. because of it's superb acceleration even with AC turned on. Much lighter steering than Alto/Mehran/cultus.
- Braking is very much good. I believe it's better than Alto at least.

- Fuel average is awesome. Managed to get 150km/tank With full time AC on in city driving. (company fitted CNG). On petrol. 17km/l on Long with full AC and speed ranges from 100-140. I believe with light foot. It can do 21-22 on long.

- Spares are bit costly. But believe me. I had drove that car for 1 lac 64,000 km's and I have habit or reving cars more. Still it's engine did not give any sort of problem. It was still in healthy condition . Car only gave problem of axles(sound). Nothing else. Even with rash driving. Quality of this car is un matched.

- NO issues on CNG. At least I never faced any issue on CNG EVER. Only changed oils and filters on time. It was thoroughly maintained from Toyota Islamabad.
and this car is able to smoke Alto's and can go head to head with EFI cultus any day any time till 140km/h.

Handling of this car is very much better. It's not like alto. Alto starts jumping up and down on un even roads.

I forgot one thing. AC of this car is very good. I had a 07 model. Sold few weeks back. I don't remember I ever took it to any AC shop for even AC service because it was working very well.
I'd say go for it. It's built quality is better than any 1000cc or 800cc locally produced car.

Regards.

I heard there is some point, Distributor point i guess it needs to be changed every 5-10k kms, after service i guess.

And that the A/C doesnt work on stand still position, (signals etc for better economy and pick iguess)

build quality is not that bad. Go for newer models as they would have less mileage. As far as Distributor point is concerned i think every carburretor car hs that. It can be replaced or cleaned with a sand paper depends upon its condition. The mechanic would decide the condition. Its not that expensive either. 300 to 400 would be its cost.

I agree with most of the points mentioned but regarding AC, you need service at least after one or two years which is a must. It has excelent drive as compared to alto and mehran. The gear shifting is smooth, the engine is not noisy even on high speeds, the acceleration is the best among the small cars i.e 0.8 litre to 1.0 litres. Regarding fuel economy it gives you 270-280 km/50 litre cylinder on motorways/highways provided the speed doesn't exceed 100 km/hr and on petrol i've managed to get 22-23 km/litre on motoway on the same speed. In the city driving, i can't give any figures only because there is a lot of differences in the city conditions. There is never any heat up issues in this car in whatever conditons unlike mehran and alto which are notorious for this problem. Regarding performance, it gives you same performance as 1000 cc cars give. It runs on the same speed as crby cultus and alto does. The only negative points are that :
it lacks space as alto offers.
it is not that good on rough roads
parts are a little bit expensive as compared to mehran.
rest it is better in all respects. choice is yours.

Distributor point doesn't needs to be changed after every 10k kms. But after 20k km's.
If you want totally peace of mind. Change It's distributor with electronic distributor which has no point contact kit. Car will also accelerate better. Though default distributor also works well.
Cuore's AC does work on stand still position. For better pick and economy. It has 2 AC modes. One is Mild. and One is cool. On Mild. AC gets tripped after every 2 mins. Or if you accelerate car hard in one gear. Ac gets tripped to provide better pick. Then starts back after 1 mins.
On Cool. It remains on all the time. Hope you got my point. .

I own a cuore 2008 Model. Driving pleasure.. Spare a bit expensive but durable. Milage is 110 km in a tank. company fitted cng in city with AC on Mild full time. AC always working on IDLE. No Idea about petrol but its very Bad..

Dear your mileage is not good. On CNG in one cylinder with AC in city driving, it should give you at least 150-160 kms and on petrol it does give you 12-13 kms on AC in city driving.

Forget obselete cuore, mehran, alto..
Go for Diahatsu mira.. Most economical car with full power packed

according to my experience with my cuore:
1- drive is comfortable and easy. there is good sitting space in the car.
2- it gives you excellent brakes. are powered. mine saved me many times.
3- on CNG i drive my old cuore 2005 170km in 420 Rs Gas on long route. on petrol average is 15km/litre with light foot.(inside city i get pterol average of 10 km/litre but with superb acceleration)
4- spare parts are bit expensive but are of good quality.
5- car works good on CNG too. my old car's AC works good even when car is standing on CNG. sometimes my arms are chilled and i turn it off.
6- this is a city car. mine becomes noisy when off road. maybe coz mine is a 2005.

conclusion: a little beauty. find a well maintained one and you will love it. gives better mileage and power than 660cc ones with 30 year old technology. it is very reliable. buy fuel and you are ready to go anywhere.

Can coure survive the onslaught of Japanese used cars? i heard coure's production is ending? Can anyone verify the claims.

Coure production has already been terminated by Indus Motors in the start of this year and since it is good on CNG, the second hand ones still have a lot of scope.

indus motors stopped its production because production of EFi cuore was not feasible for them. its target price would have been very high.

i am running 2006 model cx eco bough it at 51000km odo from my best friend currently 90000km

i really like this ride who never ever dissapoint me (alhamdulliah) on my numerous tour btw khi - hyd

great pick up, fuel efficeincy and reliabilty are the positive of coure

negative is the space inside the car esp on the back seats
