ok I managed to fix this issue, here's the summary
did some searching, visited a couple of workshops on walton road lahore. It might be informative for people with similar problem.
one suspension wala said he could repair the cv joint in Rs. 500 and the mechanic cost would be around 200.
checked another mechanic he advised not to repair and replace with japanese one if you want to keep the car for long period.
From the info I got so far, once the CV joint starts making noise, its more or less finished.
then went to a toyota 3S, they offered a cv joint for Rs 3750 but i did not like its quality. They said its not toyota manufactured and without warranty. It seemed like some chinese made with no brand on the box.
I then went to a parts shop. there i had the following options for cv joints
a chinese one for Rs 850
a chinese one for Rs 1750
a chinese one for Rs 1400 ( with warranty)
HDK Japanes Rs 3200
NKN Japanese Rs 3600
Finally bargained HDK Japanese joint ( Number DA 11 for manual tranny cuore) for Rs 3100.
Got it fitted from Toyota 3S for Rs 1350 labour ( I guess roadside mechanics would do it for ~ Rs 300 or may be less)
Cost me total 3100+ 1350 = 4450 to replace one CV joint
