Corolla Grande MAF Sensor Wiring Problem. Please Help

Salam Everyone. I have a Altis Grande 2015 currently driven only 9.5k KM's. From some days engine check light was on but finally got it checked today. Found out the mice was in engine bay and broke the protective plastic covering and some wires connected to MAF sensor as shown in the pic. Toyota SGD workshop wants to replace the whole protective covering and all the wires inside it instead of repairing only broken ones. They have quoted an insane 41k for this. If this was a Mercedes i would have understood the amount. The car currently doesnt have any problem in drive, no loss of power or anything. So please help, have anyone of you ever faced this situation in Corolla. Any workarounds or alternatives to buying the whole new thing. Thank You.

Is this the only damage ?get the wires taped. This is not an expert advice though just a suggestion.

how many wires are damage? 1st clean all the wires and tape it then chk if not then go to local car electrician before paying them 41K

It is not warranty case. Show it to good electrician in your area, they might fix it in few thousand rs. Or you may have to go to Lahore or Pindi to find the cables from used market.

Yes will go to electrician tomorrow. I dont want to get the work done for short term as its a new car and will be keeping it 3 years more so will get proper work done so no problem in long term

I think 2 wires. Yes i am not paying them 41K. Even if to get whole thing replaced i will get it from open market

how did this happen? can't happen on its own, did you get the engine washed often?
