Reset the average and then try

Sale this car and buy Prius or Aqua Hybrids...

Bro, new cars takes time to enhance fuel average. Ur vehicle if driven less than 5000km will give u lesser average and will increase it after 5k...

I got 15.4 km / ltr with partial Ac on motorway plus N5 up to daharki. Mine had 200 KMs on odo. and thats with manual calculation not trip computer.

Thats very much possible while travelling on highways that too with partial ac....i am sure it will get better with time...i am having 10,11km with continuous ac...mine is less than 200km driven.

Sorry for the off topic post.
But i got 19.6kmpl with full ac on our trip from lahore to multan yesterday noon on my Belta (1.0ltr).
i thought a larger displacement would do better on highways.

Excellent average bro even for 1.0. Btw where u live in mux??

Im from lahore. Travelled to multan for work

Hey umair i am also from Mux, i hav purchased mt gli 2015 and i am also getting worse fuel average in city as well as on long... if we drive slow then it gives good average otherwise not.

Bro, new vehicles always tend to give lesser average untill they cross 5000km...it will get better with time inshaaaAllah.. Btw me too from multan and purchased gli mt on friday...[emoji1]

I get the same average on my home car Gli a/t....driven within city 8-9km/L......it wont give above 10km/L within city max it gave us 10.5km/L on long route(40km).....my other home car new Altis 1.6 give better fuel average than Gli a/t

Just came back home after a long drive of around 50 kms
Within city
Moderate traffic conditions and different speeds mostly 80 km/hr
10 mins of idling
Car gave 13.6 km/l

It does give bad avg figures of around 8 km/L
But when the car idles with Ac for around 2 hrs daily in P ( stand still )

Theres diff by driving by drivers, 2ndly my home car most of the time go for short drive within 2-5km which never help in fuel average n 3rd it make diff wen u drive alone compare to 3-5 persons in car....our Gli a/t never go alone wit driver....oh same route we tried with our new altis 1.6 guess wat it gives 9-10km/L n much better than Gli a/t

Get the car be scanned with a diagnostic computer and watch the live data. There are three parameters which reveals the fuel mileage.
1. Air fuel ration sensor. It should cycle two to three times per second.
2. Short term fuel trim. It should read +- less than 10%. It is considered best if it is as close as to 0% at idle speed at operating temperature..
3. Long term fuel trim. It should also read +- less than 10%. It is considered best if it is as close as to 0% at idle speed at operating temperature...
If the live data is according to the above mentioned values, it is OK. Just drive it, let it to bed in completely up to 5000 Km.
After the completion of 5000 Km get it properly tuned and calibrated with the diagnostic computer.
When ever you find a free space, or down steep, release the accelerator pedal (Do not neutral the car) and let the car roll in top gear as much as the speed remains within the top gear so that you could accelerate and decelerate it again.
NOTE: This tip is not applicable within the city drive but on Highways and the Motorway.

It's a new car, and new cars take some time for improvement in fuel economy.
A lot depends on how one drives it as well, if you drive with the pedal down on the floor all the time the car will give a horrible fuel average, plus quality of fuel used depends as well.
I changed my GLi AT's oil at just 1800 km because Toyota people use the antiquated 20W50 in new cars, got 5W40 and car performs flawless Masha Allah.

Car has done 6000+km....i changed the oil at 5000km, using 5w40 shell ultra fully synthetic....acceleration got better than before but fuel average is not going above 9km/L within short distance city drive but on long drive it went upto 10.5km/L
I will send to toyota central or toyota south for checkup
