Computer se RPM increase?

hey awl i just heard this term from my mechanic, altoh ive heard throtle body se RPM increas but didnt understood this at that tym but i thougt he meant, the ECU computer,

this happend when my VItz was giving isues to me idleing (its totaly on petrol) i asked him wat could be the issue, as the car used to vibrate alot on D positon at stops,

i asked him wat could be the issue, as the first thing that came in my mind was throtle body service and aged plugs, i got that done as one day i started the car and it couldnt breath at awl and wud turn off after start, so after i got the thorotle body serviced new plugs installed also went to the Comoputerised tuning wala guy,

Actualy went to tuning wala guy before the throtle service, then got the throtle body serviced althoi it was done the same day, but minor or some wat vibration presists, at idle also feels like the RPM is a lil less,

So it this realy that VITZ rpm has to be adjusted by the ECU compter? and if yes can you temme where can this be done from.

PS any one cuming up wid saying k its jst ur wehem and this happens as theres load on D position and ur stoping the car, so thats not the case, ive had this car for 3+ years, nd the other day i drove a corola, nd dat too was standing sunnnnn. no vibration

as far as the ecu tuning is concerned! well u have to get ur Idle rpm set!

Idle rpm ki adjustment throttle body per lagay huay throttle stop screw se hoti hay or mixture ki adjustment computer programming se hoyi hay.

Throttle body pe adjustment screw kahan hota hai?? never seen it!! which car do u have??

Aur mixture jo hota hai as i far as i know woh air filter ke neeche kahen se hoti hai in some cars! manually adjust hoti hai! :S

@samialvi,Beta koi bhee gari yahan pakistan mein aysi nahi hay k jis mein throttle stop screw na hota ho idle rpm ki adjustment k liyee.

@faisal80 yes u are rte there is a screw in the throttle body, But dats not a normal screw and unvisible to a normal person. but still i think there is something as RPM adjustment from the ECU too

yaar chinyoti...jaisa k faisal ny btaya k ya RPM aap throttle body screw sy adjust kr skty ho...ECU k tunning ka mutlab srf yahi hy k air of fuel ki proper ratio ko mix kerwaya jae...and yes this can also be helpful in stabalizing the RPM of car...computerized tunning ka faida bhi yahi hy k aap ko pata chal jata hy k car apni best performance (acceleration + economy) ks setting pr dy gi

Shouldn't vibrate in D position, although this is some load but RPM must stay stable at every position. Try cleaning air filter 1st of all. Then other things

one more thing i forgot to tell you that since i have the same car as you have (i mean our Great Baleno) so i can tell you some more areas which can cause trouble for unstable/low RPMs...first of all check your air filter if its clean or not, then check that if the filter box is closed tightly (i mean very tightly) or not... and than most important that you must check that if there is any PLAY (loose space) in throttle body butterfly valve from where air is escaping...i have done service of throttle body but couldn't able to stabilize the RPM, then i came to know that there was a substantial space between inner wall of throttle body and the butterfly valve moving in it, so the valve was unable to control un-necessary air flowing to engine...

@waqas, bhai , thanks to u to. but this question about Vitz.

@panic, ya ure rite all this started when the oil stick broke and the chamber was opened to get it out. after it was refttied since that day the car vibrates.

first they tried to take it out of the tapet cover but was lower then that so the chamber had to be opened, but wat my geniuses sugest is that the chamber shouldnt be the cause.

and air filters clean, new plugs, throtle body service, its nuthing that the RPM fructuates or some thing like that its just low RPMs. may a reseted ECU caused this?

i think there is no such thing as ecu idle rpm increase, the ecu senses that all parameters are working properly these are coils, leads, plugs, alternater, fuel adjustments, etc then automatically the rpm indicator comes to normal. rpm basically is a symptomatic sign not diagnostic.thnx
