salam to all..
i have lost my id card and have applied for a new card...i think ill get it somwhere near 24 ...but em leaving for usa at da end of this month,,
my question ... what if i travled widot id card???

id card has nothing to do if u are traveling out of country what u need is your passport,the only prob u can face is on airpot(Pk)which also is very unlikely cuz u have your passport with you as identity

I mean what do they (NADRA) want me to show if I apply for a duplicate card?
& if it's necessary to get an F.I.R registered for ID card lost, which Police Station should I go?
i.e. where I live or where the ID Card might be lost?

Do I also need to publish an ad in a newspaper?

Lost mine few months back. Travelled to and from pakistan without any hassle however i did have a photostate copy of my lost ID just for emergency purposes. (was never required though).

Nadra won't ask for any FIR or documentary proof. You can take a copy of your lost ID and apply for a new ID. they will match your old record and issue you a new one without any hassle whatsoever.

I just lost my ID card and want to confirm if FIR is not required. I need a duplicate ID card ASAP as I am going for Haj (InshaAllah) and it's required throughout the process/trip. Any help would be appreciated.

FIR is not required for making a duplicate buts its good if you get an affidavit written and report it in PS. Just if incase its misused you would be on safer side. Its too good to have it

you can travel abroad easily bt its better if you have ur overseas card then they won't bug u at all.

as many of u knows 5600 passport + NIC were stolen from TAAP office karachi on last Sunday ( 5 june)

no recovery has been made yet and now TAAP ( Travel Agent Association of Pakistan ) is offering FIR copy plus there letter and fees for passport and NIC

i want to ask that what's the procedure to get NIC from nadra and Passport and how long it will take

will nadra make duplicate of NIC or issue new NIC ?
will i get new passport or will get duplicate ?

as both of my passport & nic were stolen from TAAP office

waiting for urs reply .. coz iam in hurry to make both of them and go for umrah
