do not compromise on safety...i think your cylinder is leaking...do comprehensive checks by taking it off your car...by a qualified tech. if the smell is really bad...inhaling Natural gas is not good.

get the gas topped and go to a different guy to check for leak
if the smell is there, it is leaking!

get the leak checked with full cylinder & engine running. some leakages dont come up if engine is not running.

If your no return valve was opened than u have to change the farrul. Go to any good CNG mechanic and ask if farrul needs to be changed.

Well nothing to worry as I have noticed it that if the cylinder is filled too much, then smell keeps coming, but if you just fill 500, 600 rs, the smell does not come. I have also checked no leakages.

I normally get a full cylinder, but at some CNG stations when they unhook the nozzle the gas smell comes very strong. After the filling when I come home, I open the trunk and all doors to let the residual gas evaporate.

The smell came after I filled form Pearl CNG Gulrez. They keep the cars lined up and wait for the pressure to accumulate and then fill up slowly and I think that they over fill and that gas is leaked by cylinder's safety valve.
