My Car was vibrating in Reverse,Neutral and Sometimes in D. Searched on Net and found IACV is the problem.
The function of the IACV a.k.a. Idle Air Control Valve is to adjust the idle based upon the amount of air entering the engine, then the computer reacts to this information by adjusting the cars rpm.

Reasons why you should take it apart and clean it:
-High idle after your car warms up
-Lumpy idle
-Roaming idle
-Hunting idle
-Fluctuating idle

Only 30 Mins DIY

Now you got to locate where the IACV is open your hood and it’s located directly behind the intake manifold. It’s actually connected to it.

There are totol 2 bolts,2 pipes and 1 Harness.
Remove all the above things and try to close the tip of the two pipes otherwise coolant will leak.

Disconnecting IACV was the most annoying part. Pipes were jammed and my hands are still burning

Circled in Red has to be cleaned. I used water with little amount of Petrol.

After Cleaning. I used blower to dry it.

Reinstalled .
No more Vibration :stuck_out_tongue:

this wasnt a DIY, this was i here is my car's IAC on throttle body, now here is my car IAC taken off the throttle body, and now here is my car IAC back at throttle body

lol well it was not easy to take pictures of all the steps. The main idea was to give an idea about the problem and solution.

yup problem solved

My car's rpm drops when i turned on the ac (Regardless on cng/petrol). Rest everything is fine. Could it be a cause? Car is 2000 VTi.

No i don't think IACV will have any link to it. When AC is turned on It puts load on generator and Rpm drops. I have observed in many cars.

The IACV will control any and all loads put on the engine at idle.

Our genius A/C mechanics sometimes just dont understand how the A/C is tied up to the ECU and proceed to cut wiring for no reason.

OR you maybe simply facing a dirty IAC issue. open it up and clean like above and for better performance pour some oil in it too, drain the excess - it helps the valve work smoothly and faster.

This is what im thinking too... I'll do it this Sunday and will update then.
Thanx!

Anybody upload the video because I've issue with Liana 2008
RPM goes up after some drive and disturbing drive so I think when the brakes are pushed sometimes or gear change etc then RPM gets back to normal????

Please experts Liana
