Civic 98 engine swap

Plz recommend best ENGINE for civic 98 prosmatic. Petrol milliage should be good. PK series installed already wanna change it.

why do you want to change the original engine and alter the car and decrease its value.

Get it overhauled properly with genuine parts. Changing the engine is not the solution. Suppose if you go and get yourself an engine which was probably used in another car what do you know about its history? Do you know how it has been used or abused, was maintained properly. It can give you nightmares after the swap.

And Obviously if the Oil is leaking means a seal or a couple of seals have gone bad and it i will lose oil if it is leaking. If you mean it is burning oil even that is not a big problem. It is a 20 Years old car it will do stuff like that.

Bhai solely depends upon your decision. But new engine ki price ka to pata hai apko, apko yeh pata hai ke aapko usse lagane ke adjustments of wiring karne ke bhi paise alag dene parenge. Head se kaisi awaz arahi hai jo theek nahi hosakti? Kya kaha hai mechanic ne kya fault hai.

Look for a clean D15, you'll find one easy. Would be a bolt on swap! The engine choice depends on your use, you cant put anything from a D15 to a K24 in that civic

bhai dnt think to overhaul the engine as most of the engine in honda is got damage around piston cylinders, i mean out side the piston glass body gul jati h or phr usko sahi krne k lye bherna padta h almunium something like stuff se jo k longlife ho hi nhi skta.

so i strongly recommend if ur vehicle is gud in nick n u want to keep wid u for long thn go for clean engine swap only only one or two days khuwaari n ur civic will get its life back.

D15B dual stage vtec will fit in grip to grip zero alteration (2nd vtec will not function though)
or if lucky enough like i was, i found D16Y6

warning ** stay away from overhauling .many people know my story here. i wasted 1lac rupees on this 5hit experiments

better to find a half cut, and take the engine out from it.

just find a matching replacement engine. no need to worry about wiring at all. it will then be plug and play.

honda engines are quite strong.

what damages them is water in the radiator, no timely maintenance, over heating the engine... direct fan, no thermostat, CNG

if done properly, engine will last long.

mine has done 214000 kms without even a trace of smoke. always been on petrol, auto fan, operating thermostat and coolant. basically running on the same settings it left the factory.

Bro their are other many differences in PK6V and JDM D15B Dual Vtec. Not just two vtec solenoids, iacv is different and it has o2 also with some other minor differences too.
