Hi guys ,

I just purchased Civic Reborn 2009 model and its tyres are in bad condition and i need to change em out ...

I have read few threads but actually i dont know the tyre sizes ...

I am planning to change tyres in a week and need suggestions :

Which brand to go with , which size ?

Wider tyres make any difference in road grip ?

go for oem size 195/65/15 yokohama advan db or continenatals

are these wide tyres or regular tyres ?

these are regular stock size of your car if you want to go bit wider then 205/65/15

Now that you need new set anyway, i would say go for 205/65R15 size tires, going to look better plus a more cushioning ride on bad road surfaces. I have been using this size tires from day 1 on civics and i love it.

Those comes brand new or used ? I have heared there are alot of used japani tyres in market

No, actually what you get with your showroom new civic are locally manufactured eurostar tires sized 195/65R15, which in all honestly and as you would know are crap at being a tire. Now going for 205mm tires do mean that you going to have to spend a little a bit extra over 195mm tires but that wouldn't be so much so that its going to put you off of them. I recently purchased two brand new 205mm dunlop LM 704s for 16000rs and man those are some awesome tires, the amount of grip and comfort i get is i would ideal for me and for my civic 2011 oriel. Keeping aside all the above points i think 8th and 9th gen. Civics deserve atleast 205/65R15 sized tires.

get continental cc5. these are better than yokohama advan db as i have experienced both in my civic. u can go for 205/65/15

205/65 R15 will have a slight effect on fuel economy and off course more grip is the positive side.
