Civic 2003 Exi fuel pump issue

I have been facing issue of low pickup and higher fuel consumption. I have civic 2003 exi manual. My car starts Normal at cold state then when it drive to some other point from A so then it take the big struggling self, and at idle rpm are not stable all things have been changed like fuel filter, injectors but all in pain. And while driving it hesitates also and when any speed breaker comes so i have to press clutch then its rpm goes to near 400 to 500 rpm and in traffic also when i press clutch it takes time to generate the horse power i have to press 2 or 3 times accelerator to gain the pickup.

I have checked it by mechanic he drove the car and tell me that its fuel pump is weak and at any time it would stop working and you will be held by this at road without help so better to replace it immediately.

Previous owner was my uncle so he said he also faced this issue he changed the fuel pump few years back, and now this problem aroused again.

Does anyone know about its fuel regulator and where it is located i have seen on YouTube and google that it can also create this such problem.

dont guess the fuel pump problem, put a test gauge on it and test the running pressure. Any decent workshop will have a fuel pressure tester.

I once asked for fuel pressure guage and they said we know the pressure by putting finger on the fuel line by disconnecting it from injectors rail.

03 would be the new gen with COP ignition, those cars had a returnless fuel rail. (aka dead head system)

I searched online and it shows that fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail...
Yes the ignition system is coil over plug on this generation

Fuel regulator in this model is located in tank. And as Xulfiqar mentioned its dead head system. Secondly low rpm when engine is at idle temp is related to IACV located on throttle body have that checked out. Regarding late startup when engine is hot means cam or crank sensor is about to die. I suggest you change the mechanic first.

This makes it easy to test

Use a coupling tester on the main line and test pressure. If less than required, replace regulator and retest.

Also check pump amps when its running. Usual running amps are between 6 and 9 amps depending on car. Sometimes higher amp pull can be due to bad wiring, so then do voltage drop test on both sides of the circuit.

Please tell me best way to perform amp test because most multimeter don't support more than 10 amps

You only need a 10amp multimeter, install it in between the relay terminals for the fuel pump and see the amp pull.

How to check the fuel regulator that it works fine or not.

You check it with a pressure tester that connects to the feed side of the fuel rail.
