With the great news of Chery coming back to Pakistan..... This is a revival of the fans of Chery. I owned one and it was a great experience. Unfortunately had to sell it. I think the car has great potential. Only if we learn to accept a change and know how much comfort and specs our money should buy us... Please join if you you are a fan and please share your experience and opinion about it. What was great, what needs to be included in the new models that will be introduced and what do you think about the would be prices.

Chery is no doubt a very good car although I havent owned one.
The main problem is the resale and availability of spare parts.

If the company is able to cope up with these problems,then Cherry is a good car :slight_smile:

No doubt about that tayyabchaudhary. I've heard that they are about to start CKD operations in Pakistan and there was an ad given in daily Jung where Karakoram motors was inviting dealerships. Looking at that, I think this time it would be much much better.

The general concept about chinese cars is very negative among us. They talk about low quality and safety standards. But they forget about the quality and safety standards of the cars we have here by the monopoly giants. Chery is at least way better than those and not too expensive comparitively.

Dear the main problem is that the brands here like Suzuki,Honda and Toyota are established since many years.The people are unable to regret these brands despite of the features they are offering and their prices which are touching the sky.

Secondly,the main factor our people depend on is the resale value of a car.

last time they came to Pakistan they ran away due to enormous complaints and failures in their operation IN pakistan. :S

@tayyabchaudhary
The resale value issue is a big concern. But its going to take time.
@Yawar538
Bro I think the major reason of their failure was that they did not have any after sales service and parts support. But with CKD in effect I think the 2nd coming will be much better hopefully.

good to know that chery is coming back and i wish they do better this time both in sales and services. at least we'll get something ALOT better than our ever-loved MEHERBAAN :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah man meherbaan hi hai, 7 lakhs ka meherbaan..!! :stuck_out_tongue:

My father owns one 2007 model no problems so far :slight_smile: you cant compare chery to coure, alto or santro its in a different league altogether :slight_smile:

@ aliusman2
bro that car pisses me off like anything. Specially when I see a new one on the road. When o when will people learn. Its like being a slave of the monopoly. They dont make any changes and dont bring any betterments only because they know that no matter how rubbish the car is, people will still buy it because it is a SUZUKI and has a "Meherbaan" logo on it.

Thats exactly my point!!! Well said. A different league altogether.
