Catalytic Converter Issue in 9th Gen Civic 2014

Dear All,

I have a 9th gen civic model 2014, driven 110,000 Km, last week a strange sound started coming from it (tak tak tak from engine as if something broken), upon sending it to Honda Gateway they announced that it Catconv is faulty and needs to be replaced with new one costing 90,000 Rs, its a heck of money for me so i decided to remove the catconv from a local workshop, issue now is the sound of engine is very strange, need any advice about any less amount remedy, following options are already in my knowledge:

1. Kabli catconv in 20,000~25,000 Rs from bilal ganj with no warranty
2. open market honda parts 65,000 Rs

can i install a simple pipe from any silencer shop as i feel the empty body of catconv is now working as sound implifier??

There is nothing to be worried about warranty.....Its about physical appearance and checking whether its internal plates are decomposed into powder form or not.....It can easily be checked after removing from an engine in Bilal Gunj.......as the accidental and cut piece engine lots are less driven plus driven on better fuel than in Pakistan.....I would recommend it to try from Bilal Gunj.......Yes the sound changes and becomes Odd after removal......
After installing make sure to put HOBC occasionally either mixing or pure....

Pretty soon, you will a check engine light show up and your fuel average will go down. Better to find a used catcon and have it installed.

You did the biggest mistake by removing the CAT. You just need to get it washed/serviced from any reputable workshop in Pakistan.
Who told you to remove it ?
Now search for a kabuli one and get it installed ASAP.

Go to Model town A block Market.... SAIM autos....

Entering from Goga Chanay wala side its 2nd left.... you can ask any body.....

honda guys take too much extra money ....even a candy costs mllion at their centre....
