Cat Converter cleaning from honda or motor clean islambad as they do it without removing it and clean it with auto machine

I need to get my cat converter cleaned i need your advice should i get it done by honda by manual way by opening it up complete and clening with acid or i should trust motor clean and there automated machines for cleaning without opening cat
Any brother who got his cat converter cleaned from motor clean ? Hows the experience

I cleaned cat con of my wagon R from Motor clean around a month back.. Highly dissatisfied. However, there are many who went to the same shop and are satisfied.i have found acid method far far better. I will never go there again.

From personal experience on Corolla, go to Imran Silencer Walla, on Sarya Chowk crossing and get it cleaned from there. Now I have a Civic 2017, and will go to same guy when needed.

Welcome bro...there is certainly difference but around 6 months back i get it cleaned through conventional way...i.e taizaab wala tareeqa and it was way better. I had feeling of brand new car. But after getting it done from motor clean, there is just slight difference. Motor clean gave the verdict that i need to change whole of the cat converter along with O2 sensor. Price of cat converter was quoted as 15k whereas in pindi its available for 8 to 10 k. So i am not very much glad with the motor clean. Moreover, the person who actually do the job on your car seems to be least bothered and keeps on making faces as someone has beaten up to do the job. Total unpleasant personality. If this kinda person would have been in any civilized country, he would have been thrown out of the workshop the very first day. Nevertheless, the owner is a reasonable person. Infact narrated above are all the exact factors i didn't like that workshop.

Pretty sure your cat is already busted after dousing it in acid. You might be needing a new cat sooner than you think.

My experience with Motorclean Islamabad has been very positive.

Its one of the few places who wouldn't force/trick you into cleaning or changing your CAT unless necessary.

As for used parts, its definitely possible to find cheaper used parts if you're willing to risk the outcome. You may get a pearl or you may end up with a lemon. And if Rwp scrap market is anything like Lahore's Bilal Gunj, try asking for a refund or replacement for a part you installed in your car.

Better remove the cat mesh inside it if you want. I heard some people removed that mesh (which normally clogged) and enjoy the good pick up.

if it has been acid washed get a fresh junk unit and connect back .

I would like to add:
1- Catalytic Convertor Cleaning is a part of routine maintenance and don’t wait for it’s complete choking.
2- Blocked cat with two O2 sensor is very bad for fuel Economy.
3- If there are two O2 sensors in your car, which is normally the case in all Japanese and most local cars since 2006, then don’t use acid for CAT cleaning.
4- If u are only concerned about the pick of your car and don’t care about fuel Economy then CAT removal can give u much better pick.
5- In civilised society customer is neither allowed to go inside workshop and nor allowed talk to workers.

Brother it’s doesn't matter u clean it after dismantling or without dismantling.
Most important is chemical anyone is using for its cleaning. And should not be acidic at all.

over you tube there is a local person who cleaned the cat con using caustic soda solution
radiator cleaners are using same solution for cat cleaning successfully without damage to the mesh.

I took my Honda City 2016 to Motor clean in ramzan this year. Really good experience. I knew the previous owner had gotten the cat cleaned from. Honda but upon removal of sensor found out they had just used a screwdriver to actually damage it and this was done on 15k kms service by Honda. Motor clean people said it was still ok and cleaned it without any issue. Enjoying the refreshed experience with really amazing fuel economy.
