Car tuning information

I have Honda civic 2000 vti orial automatic.

Car is running on petrol only and give me average of 14-15km/l with ac.

I want to diagnosis and optimize the parameters by connection ecu to computer from Honda classic I-10 Islamabad for checking of all parameters.

I replaced engine oil to honda genuine engine oil, Transmission oil to Honda genuine transmission oil, oil filter changed, air filter changed, plugs are new and cleaned at the time of changing oil, use honda genuine brake oil and honda genuine power steering fluid.

But still, my car ecu is not connecting ecu to pc for checking of parameters.

1. Please experienced user tell that either Honda Classic, I-10/3 Islamabad have scanner that connect to ecu which has OBD-1 port or not?????

2. How much Honda classic I-10 Islamabad charge for diagnosis and optimization from ecu of car?

Avg of ~15kmpl with AC is pretty decent for this car. What u r projecting?

Thanks bro. I just want to see that is any change occur in ecu parameters and engine sensors parameters? That's why I want to connect ecu to pc from honda 3s dealer.

15km/L with that Honda is best,can't get better than that on stock engine,suggestion is put your curiosity aside and drive the way it is,mess up with ecu and your mileage will be around 8km/L

Yes bro that is true, I am getting 14-15m/l with ac, I measured twice. Gauge is working fine. No problem at all. Just change all oils to HONDA Genuine oil bought from Honda.

This is unbelievealble performance of your old honda civic car. Please just tell me how do you measure the mileage per liter. I think you are adopting a wrong method. I usually check my Honda civic prosmatec exi 2006 mileage in this way. As soon as the low fuel indication comes on panel I quickly fill 10 liters petrol perferably during night as it does make a difference. As liquids expands more during daytime because the temperature of atmosphere is high as compared to night time, so you get more fuel in tank while the temperature is low. Now I reset my trip meter at 000 setting. When again the fuel low level indication comes on panel I note down the final reading on trip meter. I then divide this figure with 10 and you get the average mileage per liter of your car. Take at least three readings with same method and then you will be sure of your car exact performance. However, during this test try to avoid long engine idling at signals and stops. Keep the tires pressure 30 or 32 lb per square inch in each tire. Do not carry extra load uselessly. Don't race the car by pumping the accelerator pedal uselessly, this will drop your mileage. Use a good quality engine oil preferably with low viscosity i.e, 10w/40 or maybe less. Keep the air filter clean and also spark plugs should be cleaned or get them replaced if found exhausted due to excessive driving.

I am using correct method. I calculate 3 or 4 times by using correct method. Still the result is awesome. I am getting 14-15km/l with full time ac.
I am very happy with my car performance.

@fastian04 I also drive d15b 3 stage manual, she give me 11-12km/l without ac. But my civic 2000 automatic vti orial give 14-15km/l with full time ac. This is very good mileage.

From where do you get your car engine tuned. Please specify me as my car honda civic exi is only doing 8 KM per liter.

I recently changed the all oils to Honda Genuine oils bought from Honda 3S dealer. New honda fuel filter, Spark plug and fuel filter cleaned. But never attached my to scanner because never had problem and my car running awesome. My car can easily achieve 100km with 10 to 14 sec.

Best way to calculate consumption is by filling up the tank. When the auto stop occurs, do not add any more petrol. Reset the odo.
Repeat next time from the same station and same machine. Calculate.
