Car AC Service Charges

I have Honda City Ivtec 2009.
This summer i feel its AC is not working upto mark.
Should i get it serviced?
Im noob at this and been looted before aswell.
What should be the charges for getting my Car AC serviced?

taking it to honda, they would charge about 6-7k. They would clean the front condenser and take out and clean the internal evaporator coil (meaning they would have to refil the gas).

Some places may have the machine to save the gas, but they still charge the same amount.

Has it ever been serviced, always had ac filter or not? Gas might be low too.

Went to market one shop was trying to be over smart saying there are three types of service. For 4500, 6000 and 9000. which one you want.
Second one quoted 1500 for filling and 4000 for gas filling and service.
I called my electrician from whom i get my car electrical work done. He said you are my old customer i will charge you Rs 2500 for service and gas filling.
So i got it done from my Electrician for Rs 2500. Service + Gas filling. Ac is working better than a brand new Honda City’s Ac! Very satisfied with his job.

Brother Haroon, In case of Car AC Service, is it mandatory to ensure Compressor Oil should be replaced when AC been serviced?

no, there isnt any such requirement nor any service interval for it.

However when evacuating the system from gas in order to service it, maybe some oil can get out. Its probably an insignificant amount though so I wouldn't worry about it.
