i want to know that can i use my present T-50 gear box with 2C diesel engine in rear wheel configuration ?? and can any one eloborate with which front wheel drive toyota engine the T-50 gear box can be matted. and in which car it originally come. i have heard people use two types of gear boxes in rear wheel configuration with 1c and 2c and 1N . which are these two types??
no it will not. T50 can not mate with 1C or 2Ctype Toyota T50 transmission in Google search you will get following:1982-1983 Carina with 3A/1S/3T-E engine 1982 Corona with 1S engine 1983 Celica with 3T-E/2T-E engine 1984 Corolla with 2A engine 1986 Corolla with 4A-GEU/3A-U/4A-U engine- never believe in any hearsay unless you have seen & tested such setup
T50 came with A series engine. 2c and A have different bolt pattern.
Yr t50 has clutch lever on right side or left side of transmission? what car do you have?
I have a rear wheel gearbox already mated with 2c. I dont remember model code for it but it was five speed. I you want to purchase that, PM me. It was 5 speed gearbox with no problem so far.
bell housings are available for mating C engine with T50. Used to be done commonly in diesel hey days of 90's
U Need To Find Compatible Bell Housing With Same Bolt Pattern As Of C Series..! It Will Work With Bell Housing Change...!
Yes it can be done as i have used C engine gear with toyota front wheel engine by using proper bell housing.
Really Thanks for your input i was waiting a responce from you seriously actually i have ke-70 with out engine but it got T-50 Gear box in her . (the previous owner was using i think 20V in her i think) . i have a diesel engine 2C lying around in very good nick so i was planning to put that in her to give her some life to start crawling atleast9do not want to spend much in actuall as i find her in really small budget).**My T-50 have clutch lever at right side of transmission.
