Hi All,
I have a question regarding CVT Fluid. I own a Suzuki Alto ECO-S 2012 Model, and recently I found an engine check light with fault code p0741. Once I remove the code through the scanner, the check light comes again after driving the car for about 8 to 12 KM. I decided to change the CVT Fluid, as it may be a cause of that code, the mechanic removed the transmission terminal and valve body, inspected the whole structure of the valve body drained the old fluid out (pretty dirty), cleaned that whole thing/filter, and poured a new one (Suzuki CVT Green 2 (4 Litres)).
After that, he did gear calibration on the device and cleared the fault code, but again after driving the car around 25 kilometers, the check light appeared turned on. I told him to inspect again the whole work, he found that the Transmission Oil Level was below the recommended spot on the gauge. He said to pour one liter more into it, as it may be the cause of check light now, but when I searched the market, no one is willing to give open packing of 1 liter Suzuki CVT Green 2, while the 4-litre pack costs 20,000.
Now I want to ask, can I add some other brand's 1-liter compatible oil in those 4 liters to complete the gauge mark.? Or it will be risky to do so? If your answer is Yes, which brand should I use.? If your answer is No, what should I do now.?
Moreover, I also want to ask, could washing the car with water and diesel be the reason for the p0741 fault code.? Before that wash, the car was all ok. Should I consider it a Mechanical issue or an Electrical issue.? When the P0741 Check Light is on, the car does not shift gear from 3rd to 4th automatically until I release the accelerator for a second or two. While without check light it shifts as should be.
So kindly help me out with these issues, as I recently got this car and from that day I have been much worried about dealing with these issues.
