if you swap engine & transmission you will be required to reconfigure the 6 mountings 4 for engine & 2 for transmission. Transfer case can be used from your very own vehicle. If only engine is swapped you will be needing a bell housing adapter plate and engine mount relocation / placement.

not to forget complete set of wiring with engine.

1.What do you think would be the best engine to swap in this prado..which would be good in power and fuel???
2.Can i install a Differental lock in this model if yes then where can i buy a differential lock for this model?

if you can get hold of a Year 2000 PRADO Diesel power train complete with wiring it will be fun. But for that you may have to seek guidance from many other 4x4 pros like @syncview @imranmaskeen @Xulfiqar @VCheng these are serious practical guys

Just installed the Power train from 2002 1KZte with intercooler in prado 94, it already had 1KZ non intercooler from factory.

Electronic throttle was a challenge and final solution for digital RPM meter is yet to be found.

3L for fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance. 1KZ T for power.
Diff with locker is available from scrapyards. But diff ratios for both front and rear have to be kept same.

the most common swap done in this shape is 1kz
if you are from twin cities or nearby
discuss and hand over project to humsafar auto's near motorway chawk.
they are located in center of suv junkyard
