Caltex havoline engine oil users

Aoa brothers. Have a query for caltex havoline users.
What is the usual drain interval the dealerships recommend to you or you do for the grade 0w20 around 4 litres poured?
Is it only me that was given an interval of 8k kms by dealership? Want to know.

I think it is 5-6k.

Yes, 8k kms change interval is also fine if you got the genuine Caltex Havoline from the official retailer. However, it is also a good practice to make the change interval of Engine oil earlier than the suggested interval, like 6k kms or 6 months whichever comes first. It will help keep the engine of the car healthy.

The rest is your choice.

Hmm. But i am experiencing something else here.
As of now, my car is almost 4500kms done and engine oil has already started to stain and changed its color as i have been assesing it on the dipstick from the last 2-3weeks. Seems like i should go for a change at 5k. What's your suggestion guys?

Your car and its mileage? and are you using 0w20 according to the recommendation in the Owner's Manual?

If you're observing the color change of oil at just 4500 kms, I suggest you get it changed at 5k kms and make sure to get the genuine Caltex Havoline from the official retailers because the market is full of fake products.

Its a toyota altis grande 2019. 23k kms done now. Did an oil change at 18500kms after buying it recently. Recommendations in the user manual is 5w30 though

No harm in using 0w20, but I suggest you stick with the Recommended oil grade 5w30.

On the next oil change, I suggest you change it with Caltex Havoline Fully Synthetic 5w30 and then observe its performance, as your car is new, I don't think it should do any such thing as changing the color of oil in just 4500 kms.

The rest is your choice.
