Hi everyone. I wanna buy a surf suv. Can anyone please recommend me which version is best in sense of power and fuel consumption ? The purpose of the car is daily travelling upto 100 km on an extremely bumpy road.

Powerful engine wont be fuel efficient.
1kz diesel engine could be an option. But fuel economy would be around 7.5 km/litre.

budget? and please drive a surf before deciding to buy one, it has a unique driving position, not everyone is comfortable with it

Thanks for responding. The road on which I am going to drive is in its reconstruction phase. On my sedan I can hardly cross 30 km/h. So I think comfortness will not be an option. The only thing for which I am looking is power as well as fuel efficiency.
I belong to swat so I am buying an ncp car. I think you wont understand the bugdet concept here .

Dear... Any 4x4 u but would be 3000cc or more. Fuel economy would be 5 to 7.5km/l max.
If diesel vehicle with 1GD (2800cc) engine is available (the same engine which comes in zero meter fortuner diesel and revo hilux etc), then buy that ncp vehicle immediately. It has good economy of over 11km/l minimum.

Thanks bro for such a clear response. Could you please recommend suv's having your desired 1GD engine. So that I can search for it. My desire is to buy a car manufactured in between 1996 to 2002 .

GD engines came after 2014. So you wont find in old models.
1KD and 2KD engines came from 2000 onwards and you can fi d in prado (3 door, 5 door) and hilux D4D etc.
Only problem with KD engines is if water mixed diesel enters it (which is widely available atmany many petrol stations in our honest country) then the engine starts missing and nozzles get damaged. This can incur a replacement cost of around pkr 90,000/-

I belong to swat as well. So i do understand the concept, as for your requirement, look for a 3 door prado with a 3L engine, will give you around 7+ with a manual gearbox. Surf are very cheap there, but again they aren't economical, unless you buy one with a 2.7 and use cng on it :stuck_out_tongue:

bhai purchase a surf with 3000ccc petrol engine model may be 2006 the drive is good the fuel consumption is good but u will have to change the tyres to straight grooves not the desert dualer tyres for smooth n soft ride
