Apology for a late response. I was way too much occupied with work. Anyways, @ op there are two things that you need to understand.
1)Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?
2) Fast,cheap,reliable. Pick any two.
With that being said, thinking to get your hands on a ke70 vs a rx8 is way too much distorted. It's like comparing badminton with cricket. Define your budget, define the purpose of the car that it's going to be used for and then you'll be in a better position to decide what you're really supposed to go for. Imo, i won't ever go for a ke70 (old shells are hard to maintain, it's a fact, doesn't matter even if it's a very well kept one, anything over 200whp and you're going to start twisting things if you don't go for enough reinforcement and when i talk about reinforcement, i mean stuff that's well matched to your chassis geometry rather than welding metal and throwing rods and welds all around). As far as rx8 is concered, no I don't like them either.
Like i told before, define your budget and purpose of the build and I'll be in a better position to suggest you something.
