4 series coupe was launched this summer, and the performance M models were on waiting list. BMW has slashed 2 door coupe M3 ( though releases limited numbers of https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/news-articles-driver-education-safety/225798-bmw-m3-coupe-lime-rock-park-limited-edition ). The new M3 will only be available as 4 door sedan. BMW has ditched its V-8 engine and gone back to basics with the next-generation M3 sport sedan and M4 coupe. A turbocharged 6-cylinder engine and weight saving regime should make this pair of BMW sports machines a rival to anything Audi, Cadillac, Mercedes or Lexus can throw at it.
The introduction of a powerful inline-6 cylinder engine versus the previous high-revving V-8 is music to ears. This new inline-6 is turbocharged and churns out 425-horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque.
According to BMWs stopwatch, the M3 sedan and M4 coupe sprint from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.1 seconds, when equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission is also available. The automatic is actually quicker, with an estimated 0 to 60 mph sprint of 3.9 seconds.BMW has lightened the M3 and M4 by using lightweight materials throughout each car. it's made out of carbon-fiber, to cut pounds and lower the center of gravity.
Aggressive cooling ducts have been integrated into the front bumper, to feed cool air to the brakes. If you want the ultimate in stopping power, BMW also offers optional carbon ceramic brakes.
